This man is an inspiration. If you look at his earlier works, you will see how he has progressed in time. From something Harlock-esque, to what we know today. He created and inspired many of anime's greatest series. This man is the reason I keep drawing. I look at his work and say, "I WILL be able to do that one day." Long live Araki.
@jamesevans63327 жыл бұрын
He's actually said in interviews from with the last five years that when he looks at his older works such Part 1 of JoJo and Baoh, thoughts such as "I wrote this?" and "This doesn't look like my work at all!" go through his head, which really does show his growth as both an artist and a writer after doing comics for over 30 years.

It really shows how much a fandom can change your art as i took inspo from hajnarus, purmello, stecco and more (twt) but before jojo i was in the miraculous fandom which had a lot of people drawing the characters with more rounded weaker shapes

I still remember when I discovered JoJo years ago. I had yet to find that one anime that was life-changing like so many others had. I was seeing the phrase "Is that a JoJo reference?!" everywhere and got curious. What was JoJo? I asked myself. I found the series on Hulu and began watching and right from the start it had me entranced. A unique and beautiful art style, over-the-top muscular men, vampires, Hamon. No other series had ever began with such a bang. By the fourth episode of part 1 I knew I was in it for the long haul. I finished part 1 and was devastated by the death of Jonathan, I was also confused too. How could a series continue if the main character was gone? Then, when I started Battle tendency and we met Joseph, a smile appeared on my face from ear to ear. No other series had ever made me smile like that. No other series has made me cheer when the good guy was winning or cry when my favorite character died. It's true what they say about JoJo, it truly is like no other series and for that reason has inspired many others such as myself to pursue the creation of our own manga.

Araki’s art is like no other. I love when it is clear that the images a mangaka is creating highlight their vision so well. It’s why I appreciate Inio Asano’s style so much. It bleeds creativity, and embraces weirdness and abstraction, while simultaneously using visuals as a storytelling device. Araki draws his characters in a way that seemed so uncanny valley at first, but when it clicked for me, I learned just how beautiful JoJo really is. Let’s all hope Araki can forever put his genius into visual form for as long as the series is around.
Don't know why this came into my recommendations now but damn, that was a beautiful experience. I transcended.

It must be so cool to work so hard on your project just for it to rise and be known as one of the most iconic anime/manga series out there, this inspired me to work even harder on my art work.
Drawing on large scale is really hard. I'm not a pro but physically drawing an A4 page is hard. He's drawing on probably an A2 page, which is just amazing. Now imagine how hard it must have been for artists painting real size paintings. I'm so happy to see art evolving, and it keeps making our world richer. Araki is a true genius, as well as the other great mangakas out there, and the other artists obviously
