A fantastic TT with a lot of excitement as usual. I personally enjoyed the amazing comeback from a totally passive and lost position most of all and screamed out loud for gxf but our mad genious captain Haddock of chess just marched the king up. Mindblowing heartwrenching stuff.❤

The world 200th best player never made good money in any era. The difference is that in 1980 when I started, that 200th player was an IM, the 10th best player in the world was hovering around 2600. The GM title does not mean what is used to.

That was super entertaining I love the openings you played! In your course you give e4 after c6 or e6, but you always chose d4. Anyway it worked you got your opponent's clocks down more often than ever.

First things first: another fantastic bit of content, you can't imagine how refreshing it is compared to the manicured rubbish we are served every day. Secondly - I agree with the point about how hard it is to break through in chess these days. Players really need to make an effort, including streaming and building a fan base, otherwise it's almost impossible

I mean I guess it depends really. GM is an accomplishment and I have heard that besides for the skill acquisition becoming a GM is a good way to become broke or at least stay there. That is a tricky question, ig imo I could see it reasonable for commendation to GM's for their participation.

get damiana loose leaf tea. its calming in a traditional sense, but i find it gives me some subtle focus enhancing effects. traditionally used for aphrodisiac properties!

Fellow ginger and big fan here. I play the English and in previous videos you recommended an immediate e4 against e6 and c6. Just wondering why you didn't play that here. Is that just your recommendation for beginner's, did you just feel like playing Queen's Gambit, going for a different strategy, or switching things up?

I've seen a few bullet - like games where Simon players extremely quickly. For some reason he's only panicking when the clock is down from 3 minutes to 1. Wonder why :)
