I personally am a huge fan of the S Grind as well. I actually bought the SM9's in a D grind but they were not a good fit for me. Too much bounce, especially with my lob wedge.

Just bought SM9 54-S and 58-K excited to put them in play. Really need the added confidence from the bunker so went with K instead of M .

I haven't hit the k grind yet. Let me know how it goes. Is The sand light or more like dirt where I'm from in AZ?

@@ryanjacobsongolf7845 pretty good mix of both depending on the quality of the course. This will be for fluffy and well maintained sand for sure with 14 bounce

That's awesome! I bet the courses in that area change a good bit through the year. I haven't gotten to try the T grind yet. That's awesome you can make that grind yourself. Send a pic when you do it, I want to see. I'm getting ready to order some T100 irons. I've been playing ping s55's for almost 12 years now. I'm just debating if I want to combo some t150's in my lower irons. I'll play them a long time so I don't really need t150's now but in a few years I'm sure it will help. The S is ten degrees bounce with a tiny bit of relief on the back edge if we open the face, and the M has eight with relive ground off the toe and heel.

If you measure the M with a protractor it’s more like 12 actual.

Interesting, 4 degrees of bounce is a big difference. The D grind has 12 degrees of bounce, and it's very noticeable from the M grind

@@darrinlygrisse5287the M and D grinds are very similar. The D just has slightly more toe and heal relief and has 12 degrees of bounce. The M has 8 degrees of bounce. I highly doubt Titleist is gonna make clubs that are off by 4 degrees

They give you “effective bounce “ for marketing reasons. It’s not a real world number, it’s based on playing characteristics. Not actual static measurements. Fact.

Good question, I typically use my 56-degree S Grind out of bunkers. It's really forgiving and consistent. It's definitely easier to hit consistently than my M grind out of bunkers. I haven't gotten to hit the T grind yet. Let me know how it is.

Hi! It's hard to say without knowing how you strike your chips and pitches. I will say that if you have a grind/bounce that is good for you in general, it will work. I like having slightly different bounces in my wedges so I can play different lies. What I would suggest is if your in gnarly long fringe open the face a little. When you're in the rough it will grab the hozel and want to shut the face. Open your wedge a bit so it won't grab as much and you can be aggressive and use the bounce of the club to get through it.

When you say links are you in Europe? For the 52, I would suggest the F grind. The 58 M grind is really nice and has 8 degrees of bounce.

@craigjames1355 that's awesome. General rule is for firm courses lower bounce. It's tough because how we play as golfers is a big factor but you won't go wrong with a f grind standard bounce and the M grind in the 58 is a good balance. It has some bounce but should work great on firm conditions. I hope you like your new wedges. New clubs are the best!

I know this is 5 months now and you probably got your wedges already, but if you can’t or rather not get fitted into your wedges, the best thing is to use their wedge tool on the website. The generator should give you a good idea of what should be best for you, assuming you answer the questions accurately. Also there’s a breakdown of all the grinds and what they are best suited for

Hi, the wedge tool does a decent job. It's definitely not perfect and a big part of wedge play is half shots and around the green playing with bounce. Ideally, people could get fit on real grass at a chipping green with 50 yard and in shots but that's very rare.

Hello Chris! Yeah, I have the M grind lob wedge and S Grind 56 degree. I tried using their D grind prior, and it was too much bounce and pretty difficult for me to use around the green.

M has 8 degrees of bounce S has 10 degrees of bounce. The M will dig more since it has less bounce and also has the sole grinded off so you don't add bounce when you open the face

Effective bounce not actual. From my experience the S digs more in reality. The middle of the M has more like 12 to 14.
