They have done renegade multiple times before. A couple years back I went to a Seahawks game and they played it with a big 4th quarter possesion. The defense broke, but the offense forced OT and they played it again in OT and Geno fumbled the first play of overtime which was returned for a TD.

The Pittsburgh Steelers YT channel published a full video about Renegade like a week ago. They had the guy who decides when to put it on talk about the whole process behind it.
