That's one of the biggest misconceptions. True spirituality has nothing to do with this world. Kabbalistic texts use the language of "branches" to speak about the spiritual "roots". So a Jew is any living human in whom a desire for spirituality, for unity, has awakened. compared to that, all other living humans, all of us really, are not much better than animals until we wake up. @@volkskrieg8735 I notice a lot of people use the word pilpul as a way to dismiss every argument or contradictory view made by Jews. You need to do your research better. Jews introduced the concept of allowing two opposing opinions to co-exist. It's not an easy premise. But it's the key to progress. Nature advances things by bringing together two opposites. It's how life is made. The problem is that we don't know how to do it on the human level. In our discourse. In our daily lives. We suck at liking someone who holds an opposite opinion. This is the essence of all human problems. "My opinion is the right opinion, the only opinion, and therefore the other person is an idiot and must change their mind or disappear". This is the root of armed conflict, wars, etc. Every one of the important Jewish books speaks on the wisdom of how to unite two opposites. This is the key to changing everything. Jew, Yehudi, from the word "Yichud", "unity". It takes a lot of personal work and a method for doing it. That's what Jews are supposed to share with the world. The people who describe this work needed an entire language to describe all those inner changes. They chose the Hebrew language for a variety of reasons. Everything described there is only a reference to an internal force. So you can see why it's so easy to misunderstand and misinterpret these things by Jews and everyone else for that matter.

I stopped listening after he said Templars invented usury. No Angelo Templars didnt even exist until the 1100's and they invented cheques - Usury is in the Bible. This guy might have been too close to exploding munitions in Iraq, because he's never been able to articulate his point very well. I think youre referring to the talmud not the torah. The talmud is the semi secret one they use in their ortho schools. Ive mixed it up myself before.
