Yo, TJ. Did you change the Spigot Bearing inside the back of the crank shaft? You often need to do this when you change from auto to manual conversion. And Calvin removed a "flex plate" off the back of the 2J, (what you thought was a fly wheel), if you don't have the correct size Spigot Bush for the manual, you can damage the transmission because the input shaft is not centered and the spinning shaft will vibrate. The Spigot Bearing / Bush is an integral part of the clutch system, its purpose is to support the input shaft of the gearbox. It is vital to check the Spigot Bearing for wear when replacing a clutch assembly. It's good practice to replace the Spigot Bearing / Bush when replacing your clutch.
