I can't hate him bcs his character is just like me 😭 im getting scared when everything was too good for me and run away from someone who are being too kind to me and shows me some love, it's feels like I owe them and should return it double time to them and I just can't bear the thought that someday I'm gonna lose all of that so before that happen its better to run away first 🥲

look up 'fearful-avoidant' attachment style on KZfaq, especially the '10 signs you might have a fearful-avoidant attachment style' by Heidi Priebe, she is a godsend. typical for people with childhood attachment trauma. but there's a road to healing, once you have the map. this is a common experience. there's reason for it. there's a way out of it. key to healing is to learn to ally reason and intuition, give yourself time and understanding, ask people around you to give you time and understanding, talking to them about you attachment wounds (you can even use her videos to get people to understand you better).

I am not sure he is proposing again. After that situation with his ex. I feel TK probably would be to scared of it.

... I mean, making a *major* financial decision for your partner without their knowledge or consent when you know that they have money issues is not a perfect move. We know that Carlos did it because he's a sweetheart and he just wanted to make TK happy, but it's not unreasonable for TK to be unhappy about it. Where he went wrong was that he stormed out instead of talking it through. They were both wrong.

@@tokoshie or looking at it from Carlos pov ( it's always about TK) he lost HIS apartment. He was way more attached to that home than TK, he had made his life there and literally lost everything. He was affected way more by the fire than TK plus living at your boyfriend's dad house is always uncomfortable at times if they are not your parents. He sees an apartment they both like but can't rent so rushes into it. Why did TK not stop and try understand why Carlos would have done such a full on thing ( and I understand TK freaking out but Carlos was probably not thinking straight too, he is human). And then ignore him for months that's the bit I really think TK needs apologising for. TK needs to do better.

You can't be like "oh we should get something for the both of us" AND "but my needs are more important because of X and Y reasons" at the same time. If Carlos felt that he really needed to get a place because he owned the one that burned down and he didn't want to live with Owen, that's fine. But then the place is not primarily for THEM, it's for him. Which wasn't what they were talking about. No matter the motivation, making major financial decisions on someone else's behalf is not cool. If you're partners, then you make decisions together. Obviously TK messed up, no one is saying otherwise. I'd say he messed up more because it sounds like he's the one who decided to end the relationship over a misguided but well-meaning gesture. That doesn't mean that it was completely unreasonable for him to be upset. If my partner bought a house and put me on the deed without my consent when they knew I had financial troubles I would be hella mad lol.

I already said that I get why TK freaked out because of his past , I get why Carlos 'panic bought because of his recent circumstances, but TK ignored Carlos for months- TK does need to do better. Tell Carlos exactly that once you calmed down but not ignore him for months it's unfair

I would agree with you on making financial decision except TK did want that place, he said he had crushing disappointment. That was a gift from Carlos, giving the place he likes to someone he loves…It was never about the finances it was about waiting for the other shoe to drop . his mama is trying to make him see that.... he was just scared of things going bad again

@@brandi17able It's not about whether or not TK wanted the place, obviously he did. He just didn't want his parter to go behind his back, make a major life decision on his behalf, and then expect him to just to along with it. It's like TK said, a really sweet power move. But still a power move, and it's not how you treat your partner.

@@tokoshie I think a power move would have been buying a house that tk didn’t want or never seen before and expecting him to live in it.. his mama thought it was a sweet gesture so did I, some people would think like u and said you shouldn’t have done that, then there is people that said I would have thought that was so sweet if he did that for me….

@@brandi17able Well the point is, I think, how *TK* would respond to it, not you or I. I think it was pretty obvious based on TK's past that he would react badly to it. We saw him, at the end of season one, struggle with how his addiction has influensed his life and how it made Owen essentially take over all life decisions for him. It made him question his independence, his job, his place in the world. And then Carlos goes, "oh, your past made something difficult to accomplish? Here, let me make a major life decision on your behalf in order to fix your mistakes for you". The EXACT thing that TK previously struggled with. Obviously that's not how Carlos meant it but it still explains how TK saw it as a power move. Carlos can't make decisions without discussing it with TK and then be surprised when TK doesn't respond the way he wants. Everything could have been avoided if Carlos just would have asked TK what he wanted. As always, communication is key.

Well TKs wounds he got from his ex seem not to be completely healed. He obviously panicked because everything was perfect as it was in his last relationship before everything went down. Many people forgot the fact that it was such a painful experience he wanted to kill himself!

I’m probably looking at this wrong but isn’t it also kinda sneaky of Carlos to make this huge decision without TK? I dunno.

@@LenOnTheDoor0000 I think both were kind of wrong, TK for overreacting and not telling him what's going on and Carlos for making such an important decision without him (I mean if he knew TK would feel uncomfortable in a house only he owns but don't have enough money to pay for one, why literally doing exactly this?)

@@LenOnTheDoor0000 Depends on your point of view, For Carlos it was all about making T K happy, in T K s words it was HIS CRUSHING DISAPPOUNT THAT THE OWNER S sisnt want to rent while Carlos would live any where as long as T K was with him. Look at it this was Carlos took out a loan or morgage to buy the loft, to make T K s dream come true, Carlos went into debt to make T.K. happy but it eas all for love. And it was T K who says it was all so perfect then he blew it up

@@robincoffman6723 TK broke up with Carlos because he felt guilty that he couldn't afford to split the cost of the house with Carlos because he has horrible credit from his past overspending.

I stated the same thing when TK proposed, it had to be TK because any grand jestures from Carlos he has ran away and I get why TK had a habbit of doing that but that's why when Carlos told TK about Iris it shows TK has emotionally come a long way and didn't run (and IMO he had more of a reason to run then than this but glad he didn't). It did make me laugh when the dream wedding venue called to say there was a cancellation and Carlos was like I will ask my partner and get back to you - where I would be screaming yes straight away without passing go- and I thought it was because he knows better now to consult TK first on every big decision and not surprise him but later in the episode we found it was because he had yet to confess to being already married.

loan or morgage, remember T K says his T K s creadit is bad, didnt always make good choices. A great creadit score can get you a loan / morgage, first home owners program is also a possability, remember Carlos rented before so if his is his first home buying there is a program for that, could be why T K says eventualy Carlos took him back to the loft, Carlos may have applied for a loan, morgage or home owners program, none of witch approves you in ten minutes, lol Oh, I wonfrt IF Carlos dose in fact have money, maybe he gets a percentage from the family ranch, Carlos mentioned they or his parents had a family ranch, it was the episode where he didnt introduce T K as his boyfriend to his parents and when T K comes back and they talk it out Carlos mentions the family ranch

making 69k a year on the higher end of a normal patrol officer in Texas is probably more than enough to qualify him to finance a house. Especially since he was either buying/renting the previous place (i wasn't sure) he has some good payment history to show and he probably has good (or at least decent) credit since TK said his own credit was shot. It's most likely doable without Carlos coming from money. TK also makes money he just couldn't afford the down payment, but surely between the two of them they can afford the monthly payments. Carlos probably could even afford them on his own since when they broke up, he was still staying in that place which meant he must have been making the payments on his own.

Also, Carlos' previous house burned down. He may have had insurance and in a case like that, sure Carlos would get some type of settlement?? That he could then use as an down payment/buying a new house? We never found out if Carlos was buying or renting his previous house.

@@nytestar4035 that s a good point. If Carlos is the responsable type when it comes to money he could have resourse like insurance, a nice size nest egg or something. All we truly have to go on at this point is T K NEVER implied Carlos had bad credit , but yes I can see Carlos having insurance
