...so Carlos was spot on, great cop, with a dad that has no humanity... and btw did the female officer get a scene with Carlos apologising for her being sooo wrong and nearly getting them all blown up, (if Carlos hadn't stood his ground) - I assuming she didnt.

I think you are harsh on Carlos' dad- he was doing his job but talked to Carlos off the record (which he shouldn't have ) to help his son stop doubting himself- Carlos' dad could get in trouble for that if this real. If he was a man without humanity he could have kept Carlos hanging on with doubt eating away at him until Carlos suspension was lifted/ Carlos is STILL suspended here, he should not be able to step foot in the police station until his suspension is lifted. And I especially think you are harsh on the female officer. Carlos is not her captain but he gave her orders- he has no higher rank over her! She did not have to follow his orders but let Carlos break protocol- if it had all gone wrong i.e. he was spinning a line then her ass would be in trouble too- Carlos dad said the department is being investigated (that includes her). She could have shot at the car and not let it get away but did not, she let Carlos call it- why would she have to apologise for that?

maybe we have so many moments about owen-tk, especially owen as a father, a captain, a boss, a co-worker with tk. now seeing carlos and his father are all the business and professional. that's complex

The resentment Carlos has towards his dad is way deeper than how he is being treated during this investigation. The only thing Carlos wants is approval from his father, both professionally and as his son, and he feels like he's never going to get it. I just don't think Gabriel knew how to express his feelings. Showing your feelings is seen as a sign of weakness, especially in the line of work Gabriel and Carlos are in. I'm thankful they were able to start making amends before Gabriel's murder.

The only thing I wished was that Gabriel had stepped out of the role of being a Texas Ranger and actually stepped into the role of being a supportive father to Carlos, investigation or not. Carlos was struggling emotionally and morally and needed someone to support him instead of knocking him down on every little thing that he actually did correct. He was doubting himself and it took his boyfriend's dad to snap him out of it and tell him that he's worthy. You know... he could have at least told him that everything was going to be okay and it would work out instead of telling him to not leave town.

It’s 2023, Season4 Episode1 premiering tonight and I have to say that as a woman with LGBTQ in my family that I am very proud of and I love, adore to the moon and back, TK&Carlos make me weak in the knees, they are my absolute crush and I absolutely love their passion for each other and the chemistry they have together…. One of my favorite #Tarlos moments is when TK is waking up in the hospital, takes Carlos’ hand and says hey baby, breathe just breathe… With Season4 tonight, I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for TK&Carlos and I hope our #911LoneStar Family gets Renewed for further seasons because I absolutely adore our 126 family🧡❤️💙

Why is everyone being harsh with Csrlos's dad? His father is trying to do his job at the same time trying to help his son without getting them both in trouble. His father shouldn't be having this conversation, especially at the station.

he is a very familiar face,knew i seen him somewhere first time i looked at him not to mention the actress that plays Carlos's mother...she was a very beautiful girl in the 80's.

The logic here was so simple it's amazing that nobody but Carlos got it. The poor guy with the bomb strapped to him was obviously more afraid of the bomb than he was Carlos and his partner. That's because *he* didn't have the detonator switch! Even if he had surrendered, the *real* crooks could have blown him and the cops to pieces by remote control. Carlos understood that this behavior made no sense unless the guy had no control over the bomb.

I am pretty sure of one thing: Carlos's dad is JUST A FATHER that raised him...but i dont know his back story maybe he is just a good old idiot who's heart stopped working when his son came out to him or he was raised by an asshole and he has no deeper feelings because of that. Like Doctor House... BUT I ADORE CARLOS STANDING UP FOR HIMSELF AND JUST WALKING AWAY.

Everyone is harsh on Carlos dad- he is just doing his job. To me Carlos is understandably over emotional and is taking things out of context. If Carlos' head was in the right he would see that his dad is risking a lot talking to Carlos here as he is still being investigated- you don't talk to someone who is being investigated about a case they got entwined in and especially not off the record.

Carlos's position here is a little complex because he *is* technically a police officer directly involved in an ongoing case that is much larger than the incident that he was involved in. Actually, I suspect that he was reinstated quickly before any of this went public. It would make the APD and the Rangers look really bad in public to have focused on punishing an officer for *not* shooting an innocent man while real bombers were on the loose. To be honest, if the real bombers had managed to pull off another such crime, then Carlos could turn from friendly witness to burning the APD and the Rangers in the media for willfully endangering the public by instead focusing on blaming him.

Later in the show we see that gabriel can be an asshole especially when it comes to something in his job as a Texas ranger but he also has a heart and loves his son. Season 4 episode 4 we see what kind of relationship Carlos and gabriel have and how gabriel really feels about his son.

And people still shit on Owen saying he's a bad father!!😑 Yeah, so he made a few questionable choices and said somethings without thinking first but he had his own issues, PTSD and daddy issues but that didn’t stop him from loving and supporting TK and always doing what's best for him And Gabriel may also be a good father but he could have done better....he finally rectified his problems with Carlos after almost a decade. Which, is a little too late because now Carlos has his own daddy issues and doubts himself that he might not be a good father People really should think before they say something or pass a judgement just because they don’t like someone😒😒
