TK Falls Kanakapura Road, Thottikallu Falls Bangalore, TK Falls Bangalore, One day trip Bangalore is just 14 kms from Art of Living Center, Bangalore.
Since this place is pretty close to Bangalore, you can visit easily without long or hectic travel. Before you start your journey, make sure to carry water and something to eat as T K Falls comes under forest department and there are no stalls around this place. Once off the Kanakapura Road, though the road gets narrow, driving through greenery is a pleasure.
From car parking location, you need to trek for about 1 kms between forest to reach this waterfalls. Avoid late evenings or early morning trek as this place also comes under elephant corridor and could be risky. Best time to visit this falls is post monsoon season as full flow of water would add ornamental beauty to this place.
At the entrance, you will come across a small temple called Muneshwara Temple. From here, start walking between forest to approach water flowing from the falls. A steep narrow rocky trail will lead to a high cliff from where the view of valley along with the water falls is breath taking. This patch is risky and high precaution is required while trekking over the hills as one wrong slip may be fatal.
TK Falls is also locally called Swarna Mukhi Falls which means Golden Face Falls. When water levels are low, you can also take some cold shower after tedious trekking. There are two falls adjacent to each other. Left one is wide where water falls down as a shower cascading from the hill top and the other one is narrow jet stream. From here you can further trek onto top of the waterfalls. Once on the top of this waterfalls, take sometime to relax on the banks of flowing water.
Overall, I felt happy and relaxed in between nature and greenery. TK falls is a nice place to enjoy with family and friends
