Oh here's a good one! In the Fallout 4 DLC Automatron. If you show up to The Mechinist in the Silver Shroud armor you get very unique dialogue during the Mechinist fight. It's very funny and not a lot of people know about it.

Considering they are hidden, I don't know.

Do as many low effort quests on way to the dlc start for a measly amount of skill points, usually allocated between science, speech and lockpick. Skip any Boone or Gannon related loyalty quest triggers en route. Honest Hearts is a wonderful holiday afterwards as a reward.

Not with the current writing present. There would need to be a MAJOR overhaul in order to shoehorn in the faction system, but I like how you think.

There’s not really a Civil War, it’s just a disagreement. They never fire on one another.

@@matthew8153 I’ve seen them fire on each other when their patrols meet, but they don’t actively seek each other out.

@@natalie6811 I’ve never seen the patrols meet. The most I’ve seen is an enclave vertibird landing on a roof and all the soldiers dying from mines and other traps as they try to run down the stairs (not traps I set either).

More of a schism than a Civil War, that would imply they're out intentionally engaging each other in combat, which they don't.

@@Nogard-Nys well that's the funny thing... They say they're having a schism. But if they encounter each other they will fight. But its Increadibly rare to see them both in the same place. Its only after water caravans become common that it tends to happen. Their policy might have changed based on that. And some dialogue fallout 4 indicates they might have gotten more tense for a period before they reunited. Its the same thing with Reillys Rangers. The rare times they are out and about, Talon Mercs will attack. Meaning relations either soured or the 'Mercenary honor code' is broken... Or Bethesda never figured you would even have them be at the same place and time. For that reason why does Talon even attack you? (Before your good Karma/Burke contracts) There's some sort of larger Mercenary Community that never really has a location or body. The rangers, Regulators, Talon, Caravan guards, Moiras Mercenary, even the Tenpenny tower guards seem to be a small Mercenary outfit with their own armor as they seem answer to Gustavo rather than Tenpenny. That's why Tenpenny has more 'loyal' men like Burke under his direct employment.

Bethesda only has good writing in the older ES games. Idk why anyone expected them to make a better Fallout than Obsidian.

There's enough little touches and subtle narratives in many areas to show that Bethesda did have competent writers working on the game. Just more scattered around focusing on the details of the world rather than the average main story.

Like you are better at communications/infiltration than the first soldier and you have power armor training. Very smart of him to be dismissive of a capable individual that could easily be integrated into the "Outcasts" with a modicum of diplomacy. In a nutshell, Beth dangles a carrot of agency and respect in front of you and then takes it away so you can get bossed around by an NPC as usual.

@@johngleeman8347 Outcasts aren't going to recruit a random wastelanders. They're hardliners that stick to the west coast BoS ideology, which, given that the BoS' first thing they sent potential 'initiates' to do on the West Coast in Fallout 1 were literal suicide missions they were intended to get killed off in, that should tell you how they feel about outsiders joining their little club. Lyon's chapter is the one that really started the whole 'open recruitment' and 'helping the wastelanders' thing, which is what set the Outcasts off in the first place.

There are guides out there that make the game run on new computers without crashing all the time. It's really freaky playing the game with an SSD now. All the loading screens take 2-3 seconds at most.

It's black with red highlights. How did you miss that it was painted? smh.
