Because riot is so delusional to think NA deserves even 1 spot...we should be considered wild cards at this point I've literally not watched a single game of LCS since 2020 TSM getting 0-6 at worlds

It's because of money, imagine this, if Riot remove seeds from NA, NA viewers will lose interest on the region more than some already did, the viewers were in decline, but this split they managed to get more than before. Views mean sponsors and US views are the highest paid, because most biggest companies are from there.

Because they judge "major" regions by how much money is spent in each region, not by how competitive they are. If it was by how competitive they are, we would only have 2 major regions in China and Korea.

And why does EU deserve one? In last 3 years NA got out of groups twice - the same as EU.

I actually stopped watching the LCS because they embrace the toxicity and encourage people watching that it is funny and they should do it in their games. Personally I don't like toxicity in my games and I think that the professional broadcasts encouraging it is a problem, so I chose to stop supporting them.

Yes they sucked last world losing to NRG, but I think it was more of an upset (and NRG exploiting G2's mistakes) than a showing of their real level. We'll see I guess, but the only thing I want to avoid as a western fan, is seeing all the westerns teams getting 3-0ed by the LCK and LPL teams in the bracket stage.

@@lucasducros5166 t1 has one major weakness, and that is arrogant terrible draft choices vs teams they're better than, g2 is good enough that they can punish that, g2 might win one game imo.

UmTi which is the newest non-NA LCS player, he wasn't good individually, of course, that's not entirely his fault, because TES macro is very good, plus TL lanes are losing too, but, when he tried to do anything, he misplayed or his plans didn't do anything.

Agreed, they really should focus on playing the game rather than emoting. They might have been a tiny bit more competitive, and it wouldn’t have been as terribly embarrassing as it was. BMing only works when you can back it up, and most of TL can’t.

Look at the map pings before they find Vi. Someone is pinging their top tier two tower to go catch the next wave. Lucian is backing in mid lane, Xin is going to farm his top jungle cause bottom side jungle has nothing left, Corki also moves towards top tower to catch the wave and he sees Vis e in the fog of war coming from wolves. TL didn't lose because there was something sus, they lost because they were bad in every single game in the series.

Don't think they were going for the Vi tbh, it's just corki going for top wave, xinzhao going to jungle to farm and support is just following

APA could simply fly though the lane and not a wall and he lives, but decided to try going though walls against an Ornn that CCs you WITH WALLS APA played like Silver there

The time when top LPL teams used to do that, it's gone since years ago. The only LPL team that teamfight all the time without macro it's Ultra Prime and they're 17th this split. Set 1, 15 minutes, TES 2 Dragons, 6 Grubs & more JG camps than TL, they fought just because TL made mistakes or TL engaged. TES macro is very good, plus they have shutdown laneswap strats in the LPL & in MSI so far. TES Baron setups weren't good in LPL, but it has been good at MSI. 369 tried to be proactive Vs FNC & TL and those went wrong for him. LPL teams aren't very good at early game skirmishes nowadays. Besides, game nowadays it's making skirmishes, then do macro. Teamfight, then do macro. You don't see much split pushes, like years ago, if players try that, they usually get caught in sidelanes. TES playstyle in LPL was laning, getting leads doing that & then fighting if they should, usually them starting to do since mid and late game. BLG is the proactive team trying to dominate lane, diving and doing skirmishes, yet they play the macro game. How FNC got 1 win Vs TES? FNC did more skirmishes & lane duels, if you watch every LPL team internationally in 2023, you'll see they're usually a bit behind in skirmishes & reacting to them, but they can fight back. How the LPL teams lost the World Championship? They were always reactive, never taking the initiative, except for LNG, but, Tarzan & Scout were awful. Not a coincidence, but Riot casters that don't watch the LPL, they usually say that, too, "LPL teams play aggressive!!"

i'd say most of the audience are league fans and not specifically western fans, also there's a north and south audience who just love watching the esport.

NA teams seems to have worse shot calling and decision making than the rest of the world, they chase too often after getting one kill, they never turn, or flip at the right times, their macro can match but in team fights just seem like headless chickens.
