TLC is the only female group that I know that NEVER broke up or had any funky replacements. Yeah, I know Crystal was there before Chilli but Crystal wasn't in the official lineup of TLC. Every album T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli was involved.

You can tell that Tionne, Lisa, and Rozonda had that bond like no other. I believe it could take a random person to say the name Lisa and they would just began to cry because they were more than TLC, these women were like sisters to each other. In my opinion I think that's something that you can never find in Destiny's Child.

I got nothing but love for Tboz and I know when she is talking about groups breaking up because of ego, she is speaking of Lisa. Let's be real by the Fanmail album Lisa wasn't even featured on half of the songs on the album. Her wanting to go solo wasn't about her ego, she was tired of not being treated like the other girls in the group. Lisa decided to go on her own because she was not progressing in TLC like Tboz and Chilli. It still annoys me that after 16 years they still can't understand why Lisa was upset and decided to do her own thing.

Agreed! Lisa did more for TLC behind the scenes than being featured on records. I think Lisa wanted people to know that she could rap and she had lyrics. I don’t think that her talent as a rapper was appreciated in TLC. However, her creativity helped TLC. For example, the cover art for the new TLC album. I’m sure Lisa would have came up with a better album cover or she would have made it for the new album.

She wrote songs I don't understand why they never had her as a writer on the albums, I mean yeah she wrote her parts but she could have wrote there parts too! Plus it would have been more money for them. In my opinion I felt like they thought they didn't need a rapper after crazysexycool but after her death they realized they needed her more then ever.

TLC was preaching the truth about today's artists. They have no real talent, no real drive, no real artistry and need artist development. Rihanna is a prime example. She's been in the game for 10 years broken so many records and still preforms like an amateur and now she's the standard! Someone with next to no talent that got lucky with a couple of microwave hits is now the standard. That's a huge slap in the face to someone like Michael Jackson or a TLC who not only made good music, but where phenomenal performers, but now it's all about how good you look and how candid you can be. Take me back to the 90's.

I really like that there are people who agree with me about that because there are a couple really great performers who I do enjoy listening to and watching but that's only a little out of a bunch of "stars" today. It's really sad to me because I love being inspired and influenced by a lot of things and people and I'm not really getting that anymore. There's not enough heart, love, dedication, passion, originality and most of all truth and real ness.

There are no more r&b groups because right here right now, that's not what the majority of people are checkin' for. That's not what the _powers that be_ want to push, promote and market. Hell, true blue r&b singers have given into _trap._ Hell, most of them don't know if they're comin' or goin'. It's hard to be completely original when everything's already been done under the sun. If it is original then we complain about it being garbage. I get what y'all said though.

No the problem is black people aren't supporting urban and r&B music so they have no influence when it comes to the charts. Black people were slaying in the 90's because black people had no choice but to buy the music.

@@LVishere it changed drastically.. now CULTURE VULTURES BENEFITS OFF OUR STRUGGLE.... They are the NEW BLACKS... SADLY I OBSERVED CULTURE VULTURES SEEMS TO APPRECIATE OUR MUSIC BETTER THAN WE DO (NOT YOU AND I).

Kelly Rowland literally formed a new girl group on BET, i found it rude and disrespectful of the host to say no girl groups are trying or are here trying to make a statement. The problem is is that major platforms arent giving girl groups the opprtunity to showcase their talent

It's so sad what happened to Lisa. She was gone too soon. And they're right about the power of record labels. There's no creativity in artists these days and those that have, the record labels don't allow them to express their creativity. The only girl group right now that come as close as to the legacy left behind by TLC, Destiny's Child and Spice girls are Little Mix. They've been together for 8 years now ever since they won the X-factor UK in 2011. They're so talented, but at the same time, underrated as eff! These girls can really sing, dance, rap, harmonize and all the members get equal parts. There's no member trying to outshine each other and they're actually best friends. The world is so unfair! 🙄😑

Their style was different but Danity Kane had the potential to be classic/unforgettable like TLC. It’s to bad so much stuff got in the way and messed up what could of been. I miss the 90s/early 2000s artist. Music is not the same and now were in some sort of rap era.
