I always wanted to try it, and not only because I have a son named Dylan, it’s the perfumer Alberto Morillas who’s been behind many amazing scents, albeit big crowd pleasers. Fragrance Snobbishness aside, this is on its own a safe but great scent that still smells amazing and will last a decent while.

I DID NOT like Dylan Blue when I first got my nose on it. the other day, I found a sample in my samples bowl. OMG! What a beautiful, timeless masterpiece! Immediately ordered a bottle. I wonder if it gets better with age?!?! "Macerates"?

This smells like you’re hanging out at the beach in Syria. It reminds me of the Mediterranean, when I visited over there. I’ve read that most of the Versace fragrances, especially this one and Oud Noir are Middle Eastern inspired, so that’s pretty cool. This is beast mode on my skin; I could only do 2 sprays, maybe 3 max. I love your reviews Brother, keep up the great work 💪🏼👑

I agree with you 100%. I blind bought Dylan Blue because Jeremy Fragrance had hyped it up. When I first bought it and smelled it, it did put me off but the more I wore it, it grew on me and I really enjoy it now. I have also received compliments with Dylan Blue. I admit that I do like Versace Dylan Blue, just not on MY SKIN. I was gifted a bottle of it last Xmas, and everyone at the party thought it smelled like cheap shower gel on my skin. I regifted it to a family member, and he's received nothing but compliments since. So it may be a crowd pleaser, but it is still skin chemistry sensitive. I prefer Bleu De Chanel EDP and D&G Light Blue Eau Intense.

Yes I’ll always take Chanel over VDB but for the price Versace offers the fragrances are amazing compared to some designers which are still very nice and perform about the same for 40-80$ more per bottle sadly

I love this Cologne so much. It's my SOTD. I only had Versace Pour Homme (still in my top 3) and Eau Fraiche. My Brother-in-Law gave me Dylan Blue for Christmas. I love the sweet, citrus, smokey, water dry down that I get on my skin. I can see your point on the opening. I happen to really like it, but I think it is kind of like the opening from the original A*men (not that they are the same). Some people like the tar notes in the opening, not me. I do like the dry down. Great analysis of Dylan Blue, bro!

Like yourself I got a sample from Macy's and wasn't too keen on it. Haven't wore long enough to judge. Not on my list of must haves yet. If I find a good deal somewhere it's a consideration .

I own all 3 fragrances you spoke about. They are all good in their own ways and different enough that you can own all 3. People that don't like Dylan Blue it's probably because the incense note is pretty prominent. If you are more into aquatics definitely look into the Bvlgari. Aqua Essenziale Blue is a hidden gem that you put on the map. A really good fragrance especially at that low price point

This is one I should’ve sampled but it’s so hyped I thought “there’s no way I won’t like this”. I got the 200ml just because it’s better bang for your buck and I wasn’t impressed when I first tried it. I don’t like cologne’s that smell too masculine and this one has that, at least to me. I occasionally use it in hopes that it might grow on me but I don’t think it’s anything special at the moment.

Probably my most worn scent, really enjoy this one. And a compliment magnet too! The only problem is that it has been reformulated and the projection dies off sharply. Initial projection is strong but then it comes to be a skin scent only, where you need to put nose to skin to smell it (after about 2 hours). All things considered its a great scent if you put it on before you go to something.

@@brownrice2112 I got a bottle a few weeks ago and have been wearing it quite a lot. The performance seemed lackluster compared to the reviews so i read through forums and all the fragrantica comments on it and many people seem to agree that the 2019 bottles are much weaker than their old bottles in projection.

I suggest you sample this from now on as it may have been reformulated. Mine is only lasting 2-3 hours. Massive shame as this was easy 6-8 hours before.

Can only smell for around 1 hour max then it becomes a skin sent... very very weak, shocked!! My batch code is "01762L.C" June 2020. Could you please give me your experience with the performance? Love this scent but be careful of newer versions. I got a July 2020 batch. Projects 5 inches for 30 minutes and then its a skin scent for 3 hours then its gone. Think its been reformulated. Trash compared to my 2018 bottle and a waste of $50

I think theyre about to drop an EDP. Theyre pullin the same shit they did with Eros last year by watering it down in prep for the new version

Can you do a review on a fragrance that I consider a hidden gem that no one talks about it's $20 on fragrance net. Its "swiss army classic" I've wore it for years and is a compliment getter in my opinion

Dylan Blue is one of the few fragrances I dislike. Smells way too blue/old/incensey. Bvlgari Aqva Atlantique has a similar vibe in the drydown, but borderline bearable to me.

Is this a good high school/classroom fragrance? I need some recommendations for an affordable fragrance that would last at least 7 hrs in the heat/climate-cooled environments which is how long my school is. I live in a warm hot environment you can say the west coast.

Hey Ross, nice video, I like the incense with Dylan Blue, just puts a nice twist on the blue frag. I thought that most Blue frags were modelled after BDC not this?

Yeah. It came out first. I find BDC is much more heavy on the citrus though. The more Ambroxan heavy "blue" frags have more of a dylan blue smell, I find

I have no idea. I don't buy a new bottle unless I need one. This is a fragrance that is easy to go anosmic to. Those people most likely are experiencing that. Reformulation isn't as rampant as some people make it seem
