Tried getting into crochet a while back and just so happened to come across your page. My wife is 37 weeks pregnant and I decided to crochet my very own baby blanket. I watched you do the Alpine crochet pattern for about 3hrs. 6 days later I made my very first baby pouch with an inseam that pulls out and turns into a blanket when my son gets bigger.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I really appreciate this video. I am permanently disabled with brain involvement.... and have difficulty reading (whether it's instructions/recipes, or an article/novel!!) !! Being able to learn from a video vs written form is so unbelievably helpful to me. I just can't express it enough! Thanks ever so much! You are appreciated! 😘

I learnt about tunisian crochet via your chanel. I was already learning to crochet and wanted to keep it down to one thing at a time. I love to crochet and have been happily crocheting for around 3 months now. I saw one of your videos on my for you page and rembered that i never learnt tunisian. I went on your chanel saw this video and decided to join in on the fun. I don't have a tunisian hook but after a littel research I found that tunisian hooks are crochet hooks that are longer and have a stoper at the end. For the sake of trying before I spend money on this hobby, I used my crochet hook. I made the wonderful shell stitch and I am going to wait before learning new ones. This is soo mutch fun and I can't wait to open my eyes to this new world in crochet. Love, A proud new tunisian crocheter

Loved seeing these! That last stitch pattern though, it _is_ on fire! I love how you use high contrast yarns to make very clear what it happening with the hook and yarns. I would also have loved to see the one you worked up with a variegated yarn, just as a post-script of "hey, this is what it looks like". Thank you so much for making this video and sharing these stitches! As to what we'll make, the first (summer shells) is a bit lacier than I usually go for, but I could see using it as an edging, cuffs on a cardigan, or decorative edgings. The middle one is just too fiddly for my taste. But that last one.... Oh, going up to maybe 9mm should give a beautiful drape for a warm shawl/wrap/scarf, etc.

Hi Toni! Long time viewer, first comment: do tunisian hooks with thumb rests noticeable change the height of stitches throughout the row/project? I ask because there seems to be a height difference between the stitches hanging out on the thumb rest and the rest that aren't. Thank you for all your amazing videos & blog!

I so want to learn Tunisian Crochet but, as with knitting cords, I am nervous about using cords for TC too. I have 36cm pins but I suffer from arthritis in my fingers and elbows and I find the long pins, even 10cm, too uncomfortable to work with so, it’s inevitable that I will eventually need to gain confidence in corded pins! What do you reckon I should do to move forward.

I'm confusedon the first stitch. On the return pass for row one you said to crochet 3 chains between the shells but on the forward pass of row 2 you said to pick up lots in the four chains between the loops. Were we supposed to chain four between the shells on the reform pass of those one? Did anyone else notice the change? I listened 3 times to make sure I heard correctly.
@TLYarnCrafts
@TLYarnCrafts 5 ай бұрын
Hey! You’re right. Here’s the deal - when we yarn over and pull through 6, we actually make a chain + a 5 stitch shell. That’s how we end up with 4 chains between to pull up loops 😊

Love the "tweed" look. Next, the "stacking" look. Last, the "stacking shell" look. It's not good for baby blankets. Little fingers get tangled. Plus, their finger nails get caught on everything. It would be helpful to have names for the stich patterns. Thanks.
