BRAVO, Axel!! Thanks for taking the extra effort to keep yourself and us 4-wheelers safe!! I'm *always* aware when I see coils or rolled steel on a flatbed and wonder how secure the load is. You've made my day! I only hope that your fellow flatbedders will follow your example! Meanwhile... Keep th' greasy side down and keep it 'tweeeeeeeeeeeeeen th' ditches, Y'All!! ;)

It's good to have these how to video's there are always little tips that aren't in the book or in securement training about these, my first load of this sucked keep up the good work
@keithlowman6 жыл бұрын
People don't address tension throughout the X enough! I'm always in a hurry but securment is vital! You want the majority of your concentration on driving and not worrying bout the load being solid!! When doing these and any other load, If there is any doubt..then it's probably needs immediate attention!! Great job and video! :)

Hauled ay too many loads of coils out of Raritan River Steel in NJ to Ct,
@bill77787 жыл бұрын
Very informative video, but you forgot to mention the coil racks. At the front and rear of the load I would put a strap. Usually just a 2 inch strap, but that helps to keep movement down and helps hold the coil against the rack. Also, you want to make sure the coils are properly seated in the rack.
@truckeraxelmunoz49397 жыл бұрын
Bill 777 that's what the x strap is for but yea I forgot lol
@bill77787 жыл бұрын
Axel Munoz I know that's what the X strap is for, but can't hurt to have more than less. I used to haul them all the time, especially out of Pueblo.
@rayrandy415 жыл бұрын
Twistimg the straps does nothing but wear them out quickly. If done correctly that strap won't move. Twisting the strap wears them out quickly.
@Sk8boardw95 жыл бұрын
Do know without a twist the wind no mater how tight makes it flap and rub against.....why most people do it on really tall loads or loads that the strap dont touch side to keep it from flapping and beating the hell out of the load/tarp whichever

I always put a (dead -man -chain) on the front and rear coils

@rayrandy415 жыл бұрын
On these slinky coils most bols says no chains allowed. So straps only.
