Avoidance mode is Power Radio and Genny simultaneously not just Power and Radio. This is why there is a sine wave under the Power and Radio symbols (the same sine wave that's on the Genny symbol) :)

can we detect Rebars inside reinforced concrete slab

Yes it can. But it may look noisy because the Genny might be transmitting over all of the rebar. Sometimes it can help holding the CAT4 up to your chest to clear some of the noise.

What is genny ? Does this tell you how much current is going through the cable?

Hi Roy, the Genny is the signal generator. It transmits 1 watt of power over 33 KHz.

Hi. No, the CAT4 & Genny does not detect water pipes unless they are copper or any other metal. And it cannot detect fibre unless they are in a metal conduit.
