There is no equivalent to the word sogasu in English. It may be mean something like a tender charm and beauty , usually explained in English dictionaries as grace, elegance etc but the word defies English for sure. And really this krithi beautifully brings out the sogasu of Indian music , the sogasu of Telugu language, the sogasu of bhakti sampradaya, and the sogasu of Tyagaraja's love for Rama and last but not the least a hoary tradition that preserves the beauty of telugu language in a different land! Never failed to be amazed by the purity of Indian arts!

A Kriti wherein Thyagarajaswamy describes essential qualities of a Kriti. in Carnatic music. .a class composition, melodiously sung....should say Wholesomely beautiful...while the keerthanam that gets assimilated into the flow of Sriranjini . Not to say anything on the perfect blend of tone n diction by M SS Amma and how enchantingly she proliferated synchronized rhythm and tempo ...ie. Layam. the entity of the keerthanam that added beauty to the rendition. Wonderful vinyaasam @ 'yati vishrama sadbhakti virati draksaarasa nava rasa yutaykrtice bhanjiyinche' /Charanam first line....& loved the spirited rendition of the Swarakalpana....the class melodic and rhythmic passages using swaras hauled to end on notes of Shree Ranjani. Very good Percussionists .Pranams to the great soul... .
