I just LOVE the rich 80s synth sounds! Only this rhythm and sound really encapsulates the energy of the 80s, the arcade, and of course TMNT. (Alas, if only the arcade graphics and sound would have been on the NES.) The high tempo music really pumps you up for the epic battle at the Technodrome! So many memories...

Pure arcade/80s/turtle POWER!! No matter where I was on the weekends, which state I drove to on family trips, I ALWAYS needed my fix of TMNT arcade when I had the chance. It was a drug fix I couldn't get enough of!! Man, those were the days...

Basically every song in this game was great. They're all ultra hyper-active variations on the main TMNT theme. I think lots of people would love it if you did some remixes.

Crime Fighters was made by Konami, too, and it was a sort of Konami's intro into the beat em up genre in the day. A LOT of stuff that Konami did for the genre later on borrowed from CF.

I wish they'd release games like these in arcades again. So what if they're side-scrolling beat 'em ups with the same enemies over and over again. They're still a trip and with today's technology, they could crank them out at rapid pace and still make money.

Hell yeah! All 4 SP characters beating on 5th grade enemies & bosses to rescue someone/thing. It would be awesome!! I also thought of a Castlevania 4-player arcade game. Konami already owns the license. Characters: Sypha, Alucard, Trevor and Grant, in that order. Bosses include Death, Phantom Bat & Dracula at the end. Regular enemies include: Zombies, bats (1 hit kill), fishmen, medusa heads and panthers. Damn, they should've done it 20 years ago when arcades still were popular...

hmm, you might be right about CF1 being the first brawler for Konami since it seems to borrow from The Main Event's engine, because by the time TMNT came out, the graphics were pretty much less jagged than CF.

@Joelomite I remember. Oh, how I remember... They don't make 'em like they used to!
@SamuraiSarcasm11 жыл бұрын
It might actually be closer to the latter. When Japan got their own shot at TMNT, they basically made it about them all taking glorified steroids (called "Mutastones") and then fusing into a "kick-ass Saint Mutation" (actual dialogue from the show), which is basically a Super Saiyan holy Digi-Megazord with wings and a sword.

Oh no, that was certainly stupidity. But the boxart is literally the cover of one of the first few comic issues (I think #4. I don't know how I know that, as I only ever read a couple of the comics), so that sorta implies laziness. The US version of the first NES game also recycled the same artwork.
@CirqueDuFreak200011 жыл бұрын
They didn't "color everyone wrong". In the original comics, everyone had red masks, and it wasn't until the animated series that they created the distinct colored versions. And then for the game, for some reason someone decided to just copy and paste one of the comic's covers for the boxart. So basically their mistake was more that they were lazy than that they were stupid. I think.
@SamuraiSarcasm11 жыл бұрын
Gotta love how Raph cloned himself three times, too. What? They just colored everyone wrong? My bad.
@drcoco2k6 жыл бұрын
That's how the original comics were. They all wore red bandanas.
