Just got Raph and Leo. I was planning on using the new head sculpts, but for some reason, I can't pull myself to swap lol. Probably the 90's nostalgia and that's just fine. These are such a great tribute to our 90's childhoods.

Like most Turtles fans right now, Turtle Fever is crazy right now. Your videos are hitting the sweet spot for someone who can't find all of these and loves to spend time listening/watching turtle stuff. Always looking forward to more. Please do a special Mondo Gecko video when those new figures drop.. He's my jam and I can't wait to (hopefully) find the Neca figure and get that Super 7 in!

Thanks a lot! That means a lot and I’m glad you enjoy the videos so far. Mondo Gecko was awesome. Hopefully Super7 won’t take too long putting out Mondo this year and we’ll have theirs and Neca’s fairly quickly. Did you see the new Neca Mondo Gecko figure will come with Kerma the space turtle?

@@razrentals8897 YES! I'm so excited for it! and even more excited knowing he's going to be an Ultimate, makes me more excited for some amazing box art for it. I will admit I am already stressing about not being able to find it. Pretty hit or miss where I am . Found all of the current wave except for Krang... Luckily a bud of mine hunts and found an extra for me.

@@chrissanford8483 it seems like they’re increasing the number of figures for the past two releases. I’ve seen Splinter pa is actually sitting on shelves past noon. Hopefully Mondo Gecko will be the same. I’m only bummed him and Muckman won’t be in a two pack and cheaper. They’ll be by themselves and cost more.

In my opinion, these are the best turtles figures ever made. I have both the movie and cartoon NECA turtles and recently picked up this Super7 Leo and man... What an amazing piece. I was iffy on them because I've never owned a Super7 figure but im now all in on this line. I really want Bepop and Rocksteady as they were my favourite as a child.

You can get bebop for cheaper than retail on Amazon ($35). BBTS still has Rocksteady at original price.

Great review! I like your comparisons at the end. I’m so impressed with this line, I initially didn’t want to take it out of the packaging but was glad I did. I worry about the hand pegs, they are so small.

Thank you! They are a little too small, but luckily I haven’t had any problems with the turtles. The only joint I’ve had trouble with is one of my Foot Soldiers elbow pegs.

Most incarnation of Leo, a pretty much boy scout like some, makes him awesome like the 2003 series where he has a great arc around the end of season 3 to season 4, where he gets a chunk of his shell taken out and he develops ptsd and gets more agressive.

I wish they release figures just like this Super7, even with the same proportions but the size of the original playmates. Around 4-5 inches

@@razrentals8897 Yeah kinda, just upgraded and modern versions of the 88 figures. Damn i would spend heavy cash for stuff like that. These Super7 or DreamEX are super awesome, love their design and the proportions, but they're too big for my taste. I like all my figures on the same scale. I love playmates 88 figures, but their proportions always bother me, with their tiny legs and weird pose made them look just weird.

I like how huge the swords are. They seem pretty sturdy by the looks of them. I wasn't planning on getting any super7 turtles but the more videos i watch the more I'm compelled 😅

They have some flaws, but they’re also really awesome. When you actually see how big they are in person it’ll blow your mind.

The 2012 turtles are literally some of the best turtles action figures especially from playmates, I don’t understand how you can suck up to 80 figures and not see how great they’re are, at least the turtles.

I think some of the bodies feel flimsy, the paint apps are lacking, and I don’t like how some body parts can be hollow, like the one triceratons legs. I think it’s cool that they look pretty close to the source material, but I love all the extra detail the old Turtle figures had. All of the extra items and bugs and stuff that made the figures stand out amongst the other figures back then. I liked the expressive faces from back then. I think maybe the 3d cartoon makes everything very smooth and they do a great job copying that and staying on model but it’s just not my favorite. My son loves it though so I know for some people it’s their favorite. I love the 2012 cartoon though. It may even be my favorite when it comes to the storyline.

@@razrentals8897 oh no I completely agree with you on all of that, I’m talking specifically about the 4 turtle’s figures of the line every thing else was pretty mediocre imho but the turtles were some of playmates best work. I’

@@Therealones745 oh yeah I thought the turtles themselves were pretty good. They actually seemed more detailed than the way they appeared in the cartoon. I bought the four of them when they first came out and ended up giving them to my son, because at the time i didn’t plan on collecting the series and he started to watch the cartoon. I wish I would have kept those though because years later when I bought a second set for myself they started to paint the eye bands/eyes stupid. The best looking ones in my opinion were the ones released as soon as the series dropped. Better blue on Leo too.

Sorry about that. I use to have them, it I got rid of them. I’ll have to find a Michelangelo before his ultimates figure comes out. I already got a new Donnie classics.

Which NECA figures? I’ve done the more recent cartoon toys. I’ll have a review up tomorrow on the Casey and Raph movie two pack. I may go back and review the earlier toon figures. Or maybe do a double review when the disguised turtles come out. Talk about the original sdcc figures and how they compare to them.

I think the only ones I haven't done from the NECA Fred Wolf series is the 4 Turtles themselves, Shredder, Krang, Foot Soldier, Bebop, Rocksteady, Casey Jones, and April. Eventually I should go back and do something for them and talk about their accessories from the show. I have reviews for every release after April. A little haha. I got lucky with a lot of the playmates figures. In one of my videos, but I don’t remember which one, I talked about how last year I found someone selling their Childhood Tmnt toys. It was pretty much every figure from 88 - 91 plus vehicles. I was able to get a ton I didn’t have and replace a bunch of mine that were beat up. A lot of the other Leo’s from later playmates and other lines I just picked up as they came out. I’m a slow collector and a bargain shopper so a lot of my collection has just taken time to build up. Except for the lot I bought last year haha. I’ve been collecting for probably 19 years. I don’t have a lot of the really rare Tmnt stuff though.

Nah, Leo has the most consistent and complex personality through the different incarnations, while the other three turtles personalities rely mostly on a single trait/gimmick like being a goofball, a tech wizard or an angry attention seeker.

I’m very impressed by. Super 7 figures. Not all are 100%, but tmnt line are awesome minus this waves accessories. But it’s like I spilt my monster drink on my playmates tmnt & these figures are the results . Still waiting for Donnie & mikey’s wave (and yes I bought the entire waves), but turtles rarely come up especially steroid versions of the original. I hope super 7. Doesn’t make a party wagon, I’m outta room!

Haha, yeah I know what you mean about not having any space! I don’t know how I’m gonna fit the thunder tank in my house. I need to fix up my attic so I can move my collection up there and have more space. I’m really looking forward to waves 3 and 4 too! I think in an interview Brian said wave 5 preorder will be up in March so I can’t wait to see what they show!

@@razrentals8897 super 7 offers a payment plan $450 for the tank $40 shipping 15% payment plan like $550 total plus tax divided by 3: think about $190 charged day 1. Then the remaining divided evenly & applies 4 weeks fallows initial & the final remaining 4 weeks fallowed good luck homie. Remember: if anything... you can flip it. I’m guessing $1500. Like the barge. Although different prominence. So still a $G. Hell yeah. I’d pay a G. Double sided molding. U can’t beat super 7 quality & customer service. Millinum is $399!

@@nicholascolagiovanni7158 the differentiation is with the original Leonardo toy which these are supposed to near identically represent. They nailed the gappy teeth with Raph but why change now with Leo. I looked at the Michelangelo as you mentioned and dear Christ Super7 made ANOTHER change and made the gaps in his teeth all black! Haha I hope that’s just in the prototype though because seriously wtf

@@dubblewokad I see these as "remakes" of the OG toys as opposed to "remasters". It seems that super7 is just releasing their take rather then copying them 1:1 which i think is cool

It’s a tough call. Some seem loose and others seem fine. You won’t know till you pull him out.

like all the figurs from neca or super7, use a dryer to heat them up. Hot water works too, but you can get water into weird spot inside the toy.

What i gather they copied the soft head versions. And raph shell isn't the toy color. That eats at me.

Since Raph’s shell is a different color I’d rather then keep the trend going and have donnie’s and mikey’s a little different too. If they made Leo, Don, and Mikey all have the same shell color and Raph’s was different then I’d totally agree with you. It’d bother me.
