Thanks for sharing! As a person living with depression as well, I think you’re doing a great job talking about it and that’s a good step. The issue with SSRIs, TMS ECT..and other treatments is the expectations that a lot of people have about their role. The fact is, they’re not going to change reality or alter your mind( hard drugs are good for that) but rather help you take the first steps towards Fixing the undeniable problems. My therapist described them as “ the swimming floaters when you’re drowning” but you still have to swim. Apply it to health, and you’re making the right choices. To relationships and you finally muster up the courage to even say hello to your crush …etc Also, social feedback is super important for self image but too often, we*(men) are very frugal with compliments so, feeling better might mean changing friend circles or area Let me tell you, you’re objectively handsome so bump up that chest and breath. I’m sure everything will be fine. Stay strong 💪🏾

Sorry for the delay but thank you very much for the kind and insightful comment. Totally agree that we expect too much from antidepressants and like anything in life: if it is worth doing it is going to be hard, and there is no such thing as a free lunch so if you find a shortcut to make it easier it will only present its own set of new problems. Best wishes to you and hope you are managing your depression ok too.

Thank you for sharing. Sounds like you’re going through some severe depression. I was in a bad way, ex military diagnosed with PTSD, major depressive and anxiety disorders. I was very recluse and withdrawn from others. I feel more like myself now, and others are noticing improvement in me too. I’ll post my own video at the end of treatment to offer my own perspective. It’s important to explore the variety of testimonials and recognise how varied results can be. Different from this gentleman, I did have brain mapping which is a measurable approach to progress. I’ve had good results after 22 sessions. I need 35 total. It’s saddening that this bloke is suffering after commuting to that treatment. I wish you luck mate. (By the way, the military covers my treatment, and I’m now being scheduled for a stellate Ganglion block injection to my neck. Pairing this treatment with TMS, I should yield good results

I have 7 treatments left of TMS, haven't felt any change. I don't really have any hope for it anymore. I tried 13 different medications and combinations before being referred to TMS. Only options left are Ketamine and ECT, but those both seem scary to me.

Don’t go down that rabbit hole of mind altering drugs and ECT. It’s archaic. Results from TMS vary a lot depending on the individual. This poor bloke hasn’t had much luck, but it doesn’t mean it’ll be the same for you. I’m 22 treatments in, after session 14, things started to improve exponentially.

I’ve had 29 sessions so far. I didn’t notice a difference until the last few sessions. My level is 101 and it’s the 20 minute sessions. I am doing 3 sessions in a row twice a week. I am also on Deplin - which is supposed to help this treatment as it is some type of anti-inflammatory. My family has noticed a difference, and I no longer obsess over “unaliving” myself. I have 8 more sessions, and my dr is getting more sessions approved for me. I think it is working for me.

It doesn’t discriminate, it works. Some just need more than others to get that benefit. I started being receptive to it around 15 sessions, by 35 it felt like depression was just gone, completely. But I’ve just been signed for another 35 sessions, because about a month after treatment I started experiencing what I’ve heard people refer to as a ‘dip’. Since it’s available to me, there’s no harm in maintaining it to get a better residual. I’d encourage you to go to 120, it does get more tolerable with time. You want to maximise that therapeutic range. And keep an open mind😉

I wonder if anyone trying Magnetic Stimulation, have ever tried the electrical brain areas stimulation therapy? It has helped me in my learning things that I thought were impossible after 18 years of studying Wei-Qi chess and got stuck at a certain level. Am purchasing a newer model. And hoping to start again, since I have got stuck again. I had read the military using this to ramp up their super soldiers to be able to do above the normal levels of calculations and visual acuity.

@@theliamexperiments306 I am also recently starting to read or listen to very helpful books being read to me, from Psalms, Proverbs and John. Even when I am not using tACS or tDCS =constant current, according to different placement configurations based on my waiting for a new one. I had done this years ago. And got better, so I ended up falling out of this practice, but now wish I had not. I like the free online apps that allow me to listen and to read along. This method helps a lot, with whatever electric placement configurations. Or when not using it at all. So now, I start reading usually before I eat or etc. except running to the bathroom in the morning. I hope to start doing this before bed also. I am also trying to have it playing in the background on very low volume settings. Even if I can't hear it, at least it's in and around me. Really help me with anxiety, stress and depression. Much more than any drugs and therapy. And even as good or better than when I was taking a walk in the morning, a walk in the afternoon and evening. Though that helped a lot, also!!! :)

what results do you want from it, if it's just depression you need a goal in life that is worth while when you achive your goal and don't have anything else you slump quitting alcohol then other abuses, sexual & drugs etc. Fasting can reset your whole body if done correctly. mentally and physically you have to really abstain from everything toxic in life even talking negativly like swearing or thinking of other people as the problem instead of the way you look at things tho some people are the problem not allowing them to have dominion over your emotions is key.

It hurt a lot, (so much so that I was crying by the time the full dosage was administered) and even when the dr changed the angle it still hurt. He also decreased the dosage to 100 rather than 125. But it still hurt. I’ve had 21 sessions and have decided that the pain is too much. It seems so crazy to put up with the pain. I found that the stress of anticipating the pain just didn’t make sense. I’m not sure if it helped. I’ve decided to do some sort of physical activity, if only for 10 min. I think that physical activity is a huge benefit if you have depression. It can also help counteract anxiety. I just want to experience joy and happiness as well as a more balanced outlook. I’ll keep on keeping on…

When I heard of your story and struggle not only with depression but paranoia experiences I agree with you that it could be possibly schizophrenia. Fortunately thanks to the work of the late Doctor Hoffer and Doctor Osmond niacinamide can help in anti-schizophrenia effects but it can upset the stomach and that is started in purposefully in low doses and built up to minimize nausea side effects to be started at a low-dose to see what your stomach can tolerate that’s used in doses larger then a few hundred milligrams and it is used in half gram and gram doses often 3 grams or less and then there is Inositol Hexaniacinate in 500 mg capsules by Solgar that is expensive, that usually does not upset the stomach and less apt to cause nervousness but in the US it is a bit expensive in cost. Dr. Hoffer and Dr. Osmond also used about 3 grams of vitamin C a day to indirectly help their schizophrenic patients feel better with the other mega vitamin therapy treatments and if patients needed pharmaceutical treatments, they would get that as well, which the goal was to get them off, pharmaceuticals as quickly as possible or be at the lowest possible pharmaceutical, tranquilizer approach and if they were in early schizophrenia illness, then they might just be put on the mega vitamins without any other medicines. And you are right that different people may need different parts of the brain to be helped out by TMS and not a cookie cutter approach. With certain patients they used nicotinic acid niacin, but that creates a powerful peripheral, dilation and reddening of the skin effect for a few hours, early in the treatment, a powerful skin flush, which is a bit very uncomfortable but that is less apt to upset the stomach compared to niacin amide also called nicotinamide. The nicotinic acid and niacinamide does create nervousness side effects too. The problem with ketamine is that it can make all a persons symptoms worse if they have a schizophrenic illness. These vitamins in megadoses are often taken with a meal. And certain clinicians find that B6 and some other vitamins like folic acid helps in depression too as a vitamin helps in certain people with schizophrenia.
