@@joshg250 Yeah with all that said I was not disappointed with how I played, rather most mistakes I made I thought it was something I could change or work to improve on. but it would be awesome if we could play again at some stage if you want to.

​​@@venom0237 *All* of those characters gain meter...except Hsien-ko, because being _UMvC3_ Hsien-ko is suffering. That's true regardless of which version of "Phoenix" you actualy meant since Mr. Wright gains meter in Turnabout Mode and Ms. Grey gains meter both with Healing Field on and in Dark Phoenix mode. So the original post is still correct even though he forgot all those characters *and* Strider, who *doesn't* gain meter when he has Ouroboros active (which makes him the only character in the game with a Lv. 3 Super Mode that locks them out of meter gain). Even more amusingly, for all that it's mostly correct and very good otherwise, the Brady Games guide for _UMvC3_ itself seems to be under the same mistaken impression that te average "transformation" super in this game gains no meter when it's the opposite going by how the entry for Felicia's Kitty's Helper super begins in its second paragraph: "Unlike most power-up hyper combos, Felicia is able to build meter from her attacks while Kitty's Helper is active." If they can miss it, then that shows how easy it is to miss. *EDIT:* Oh. Heh. Speaking of "easy to forget", we *all* forgot about Amaterasu given her Vale of Mist super/hyper where she slows time should count. For that super/hyper, I'm pretty sure she doesn't gain meter at all, so that's another character in the "doesn't" column.
