I remember playing this map in like... 2006, and looking for that yellow key for an hour or 2, before Googling it, and then learning it didn't exist!!

The yellow key is inside the sarcophagus with the crushing ceiling. I found it by opening the map in an editor. It is indeed tagged as co-op only, and I can only imagine that it was a last minute error on their part. The new key though, is in the wrong place. It's really lame of them to put it outside the sarcophagus. Part of the intended challenge, despite their boneheaded error, was to have the crushing ceiling guard the key. They should have put it inside there. And those slabs actually do have switch textures. They use the texture SW_STONE6, but it's offset wrong and is "under" the floor.

18:36 Many many years went by before I noticed that the armor bonuses actually form an arrow pointing at the secret exit. Clever.

For some reason after hitting the switch at 16:30, none of the hitscanners spawned in so I got cheated out of 100% kills

So I ran into a new bug on my playthrough of Pharaoh on the Switch port of Doom 2 with this wad as an add-on. The shot gunners wouldn’t spawn when I walked in and shot, even after I pressed the switch... it’s so weird. Hopefully it was just a one-time thing

This was the first ever Doom level that I saw and played. My dad showed it to me back when I was 9 or 10. He used to let me play sometimes, but always with the words "don't tell your mother."

That business with the yellow key is frustrating. I didn't know about it when I first played the map, and it caused me no end of confusion. Ended up using idclip to finish the map.

From this video. I just knew the fact that those Revenants and Hell Knights can fight with each other and I found this pretty funny and entertaining. :)) Anyway, I'm amazed of your TNT Evilution walkthrough vids, it helps me (and others) a lot! Thank you so much n bless you!

"There is no yellow key" *Legion of the Lost intensifies*

I gotta tell you that "Legion of the Lost" (the one that plays when you finish a level) is played again as the background music to this stage. Nice! Also, I like how you make enemies infight with each other and gibbed almost all the shotgunners with the rockets. Also, I was amazed at the flying Cyberdemon and swimming in the water for the exits. Nice one. Oh, and thanks for the info on this Level 31 yellow key glitch. :)

The sleeping Arachnotrons are part of an interesting mapping trick. They are inside invisible boxes at the start, then when you activate certain triggers, the boxes open and they become active.

I wasn't expected map like this in DOOM, but this map is one with my favourites.

This is why I test my wad, again again and again to make sure it's kosher before I accept it and move on.

In my first try of this map, I didn't find the yellow key. So I didn't play this map until 2 years later when I cheated. Now I cow that there is a yellow key. Cheers.

9:33 Those switches raise the 2 pillars. A side note, when you press one of the switches, the other switch will be "locked" until the floor finishes moving. Also those 2 pillars do have switch textures on them, but they have an incorrect offset, causing the switch itself to be "invisible".

Came here 2 times one because of the missing yellow key and second didnt know those stone tablets were actually switches. Kinda weird cause i installed this from the collectors edition which they could have easily patched.

Great walkthrough and a fun map! In my playthrough the final bunch of enemies didn't show up... I pressed the switch, fire arround... No one showed up! Don't know what went wrong... Very sad... Seemed to be a lot of fun to mow down all of them... Well, maybe they were afraid of me, MUAH!!!

I agree with you on the Yellow Key solo glitch considering one of the Casali brothers was guilty of the oversight, that is a surprise. The aspect of it which in no surprise to me is that nobody on Team TNT caught or fixed it while test-playing the map prior to the game's finalizing & release. I say it is no surprise since this is the same Team TNT which gave us maps like Habitat, Metal, Mount Pain & Last Call among other not so great maps of TNT.

If TNT Evilution was released in 2010 (or later) by someone like Activision or EA Games, the yellow key in this map would have been "downloadable content". Which would cost around $5. It'd be like "Hey, congratulations for finding the secret level! Now, want to continue playing? Cough up the cash, boy." Oh, and I also prefer to kill Arch-Viles with the plasma rifle. But if you remember my previous comments, you could have assumed that :D Great video, as always. Keep 'em up :)

That's exactly why. Everytime I make a map, I run Doom executable and warp to the map with no monsters. Then on the Ultra-Violence difficulty. Before publishing a map, I *ALWAYS* fix any bugs, especially if the map is impossible to complete

15:20 When I try to use the teleporter to leave the area, it doesn't do anything. I step on the warp pad from every conceivable angle, which you should never have to do anyway, but nothing happens. Anyone know why that is? I just end up having to noclip up into the Megaarmor area to get out.

This with the yellow key is total bullshit :( Sadly you need TNT 31.1 or what it called. And wow this level is a nice little slaugtherfest. Specially in the end :) Nice very cool Walkthrough again :)

9:35 The reason you might have troubles hitting these switches is because they're indented into the wall. Your USE key has a limited range - exactly below 48 map units. If you're an experienced player, you have an instinctual understanding of this range so you know how close to get to a switch to flip it. However, these switches are indented by 24 units into the wall, so your USE range is lowered by 24 units - half of the normal range. So this might be just enough to occasionally give you trouble, requiring you to get un-intuitively closer to the switch to activate it.

I dropped this game in my very first time playing, because i can't find a way to progress. Years later i played again all the phases, and still lost, after check all walls, i find that glitch button. Well, in my mind that was the regular progress, only watching you in this year i discover it.

i'm playing this map now (using the TNT31.WAD patch file), and I'm stuck in the large area where you get the Red Key. I just lowered the barrier around the exit teleporter to get out of the area, but no matter what I do, when I step into the teleporter, nothing happens. I can't get teleported out. Anyone know what's going on with that? lol

Big Mac - watching this playthrough as i work these maps for the first time. Weirdly, when i just did this yesterday, I didn't encounter the cyber demon from the ground walking on air, I came up the back stairs where you are overtop of him, where you encountered the pain elemental and the cacodemons. i fought all 3 at once there, and found the cyberdemon a cake walk because he would walk back and forth 'on air" away from you and I just kept firing rockets at him and when he turned, I went back down the stairs. later, when he was dead, i was at ground level like - what is this platform with no top on it and the sides look like doors. that must have been where he was "walking on air".

I was going crazy trying to understand what I had to do... that yellow key :(

Hm. I played through the bugged version of this map and there was a few things. Those two last Arachnotrons you take care of didn't want to get "revealed", the map didn't have the yellow key and those enemies you deal after getting the Megasphere didn't want to warp out. Other than those mentioned, there were no problems. Had to IDCLIP a few things though.

Hello BMD. I can't understand that they not realised making such a big flaw. The first test run would show that the key is missing.😇 I wanted to download the fixed version over steam but it won't work, so I fixed it by myself with doom builder.🔧👍😉

I really really hate this map and actually that hurts, the design and the ideas were so great (it reminds me a little bit the second hub of Hexen 2 XD), but i can't got the yellow key and i got locked. Of course the Doomsday Engine didn't helps with the problem with no recognition of the cheat codes and i didn't find the fixed wad.

Such a unique map indeed! A lot of nifty tricks, very nice and pretty layout, eye candy trick with the Cyber-Demon, and that music! For some reason that track has always reminded, even from the first time I heard it, of the Resident Evil soundtracks. Particularly of the save rooms now that I think of it.

you could also go to the uper area where you shot the rockets at pain elementals and pick-a-boo shoot cyber demon from there.

On the switch version I'm playing the enemies at the end wouldn't spawn or got stuck or something after i pressed the switch. Ended up having to finish without killing them.

Weird my game has a yellow card but no shotgun guys to sluaghter near the end no matter how many times I shoot they don't spawn there's just this one guy near the skull button that doesn't take any damage

I hate this map on the ps4 port of this game. I got the megasphere and flipped the switch then shot at the same part of the wall while running but the shotgunners never spawn in. I think it's a terrible glitch but now I can't get 100% on the enemies bc of it

Using rockets, you can harm yourself with them.

The missing key isn’t enough, they also had to make an invisible switch that is required to hit after hitting a switch to reveal it. REDUNDANT?

for me dude, when I last played this map, I had to use IDCLIP myself to flip the switch since the Yellow keycard is missing from the final game

This is my second favorite map, why? I love Egyptian culture so this made me love this level.
