I remember this song so we'll, my dad was one of the original members of the band at the time of first recording of this song. My father played percussion for Joe Cuba during that time. I wish I knew how to get in touch with any of the other band mate's to see if there were any pictures taken during the original recording of this song. My dad died back in 2008 of prostate cancer and I have no photos of him. My dad also played with Perez Prado as well as Lalo Guerrero.

JIMMY SABATER Y CHEO FELICIANO fueron compañeros en el Sexteto de Joe Cuba durante los sicodélicos años 60'. Cheo Feliciano es considerado entre los más grandes en el subgénero del Bolero Antillano. Jimmy Sabater no puso tanto énfasis en el bolero como su amigo Cheo, o no alcanzó la difusión de Cheo al ser muy asociado al estilo 'nuyorican'. Sabater también cantaba en inglés tanto Soul como Boleros y ocasionalmente Jazz Standards... Papo Lucca acompañando To Be With You, gran clásico de las Salsotecas, por esa magia de que aún cuando no todos hablaban inglés, el canto tan envolvente de Jimmy Sabater hacia que eso no importe. Bailar juntos 5 minutos sin entender que dice la letra pero sintiendo el canto y la música da una realización muy grande: el amor es el mejor intérprete * Papo Lucca piano excelente para los boleros desde la edad colegial

Era secreto a voces: Sabater era un par de Cheo en el canto romántico. Fue demasiado independiente Jimmy a partir de los 70' hacia las cosas a su manera. Trabajo siempre tuvo y su familia tuvo las comodidades necesarias. Pero sus discos no se difundieron tan regionalmente. Nuyorican de cepa, no para difusión a gran escala

Awwww thanks Terry. Its such a pleasure that you replyed. I cant even begin to tell you how I loved Jimmy & his voice. I was a little girl with a crush on him. He sang to me at my 13th birthday & I was in heaven. My dad passed 3 years ago & I been alive,but dead ☹

Yes it sucks!!. I have struggled so bad. He was everything to me. I got married last year & it has helped me,but I still feel so empty. I love Jimmy. He was incredible in every which way 💗
