His Talk is concise and to the point. It offers an alternative approach to tackle problems around poverty and its actual origins. Social innovation is the articulator between a public policy and innovative business endeavors to solve the world's most pressing issues. The question is how can we create awareness on this effective long-term solution that relies on creating an entrepreneurship culture? International aid, although highly valuable, doesn't empower individuals to run their own business or upskill themselves for the same matter. Once people have the opportunities, training, and action platform, the advent of foreign investment will substantially grow. Great speech, thanks!

Mesi frè! I wish all Americans would hear these thoughts. Unfortunately, I don’t believe many really care. We turn a blind eye to the way our government acts in the world. We don’t ask the hard questions to hold the government, or large organizations, what they have done with the donations made by generous people to help devastated populations. Foreign aid is only a tool of governments wanting to exert their will on other countries. It is also a tool used well by well positioned individuals to siphon off personal wealth. Both go hand in hand and the “giving “ country winks when people get wealthy because now they have influence over those people. It’s a vicious circle, with the love of money being at the center of it all. Kenmbe fèm zanmim!

When I travelled in rural Africa I heard this same topic! Donated goods destroyed the home made products of locals and drove the local economies to dry up and become reliant on aid! Destroyed local work!😢
