you don't need to know about that methodology NAME to come up with these ideas. These are just essential life thinking processes if you actually spend some time thinking about organizing your thoughts, instead of going around matching thoughts with NAMEs, sounds pretty ridiculous.
@fragstudio5668
@fragstudio5668 Жыл бұрын
@@dumyum2995 Agile methodology exists after tremendous amount of effort from software engineers to tackle real life problems they faced in the industry. And it keeps evolving even now. I said what I said because I see so many parallels to the methodology I use in my day to day work life, and because I APPRECIATE that the author has implemented something similar into daily life as well. Plus he appears to have worked in the tech industry so in that case he is quite familiar with it. My comment DOES not make him sound any less capable of thinking independently. If it does, then it was not my intention and I should have worded it more carefully. As far as you are concerned, there is no need to be upset that somebody put a name to it. Just enjoy organizing your thoughts and living the best life!

Hey Sheng! I LOVE your videos- they’re no-joke life-saver! I’ve never been a mindmap fan before bcoz I hate charts! Lol And then when I watched your videos about mindmap a few months back- I realize I’ve been doing it since highschool. I also did some science-backed research about it and I just fell in love with mindmapping. In fact, I created my whole business bcoz of it and I created my own productivity framework and included mindmapping to it. Been using it for myself and my clients. So I just wanna say thanks so much for putting this highly valuable content here! Awesome job! 🙌 Followed you on IG as well.

I am a fan of mind-mapping, and this is a great application of this process. How do you handle tasks that you didn't get to? Do you simply recreate that portion on the following day, or do you simply just look back onto this page? Thanks.
@ShengHuang
@ShengHuang 3 ай бұрын
Thrilled to see another fellow mind-mapping enthusiast! Regarding unfinished tasks, it's really flexible and boils down to personal / project needs. Often, I simply refer back to the previous map, adjusting priorities as necessary for the new day. This method ensures that no task is forgotten and allows for a dynamic approach to managing priorities. However, there's also the option to recreate that portion for the next day, especially if it helps maintain clarity and focus. Both strategies are effective; it often depends on the day's intended focus and priorities.

Hi! I always use Bullet Journal for planning my life - it requires a small notebook (passport size) to contain my future tasks, habits, etc. There is a question - could To-do Mind-Mapping be more effective than BuJo without changing size of notebook?
@ShengHuang
@ShengHuang 2 жыл бұрын
Bujo's are great! I personally carry around a Traveler's Notebook with a blank insert for mind maps. I did a review on the notebook a while back and will do a video soon on how to mind map in confined spaces. Both bujos and mind maps serve to externalize our thoughts so that we can free our mind for other perhaps more productive things. The main difference is that bujos are linear because bullets are inherently organized in a sequence vs mind maps which can span out any which way. I personally use mind maps because I'm a non-linear thinker who likes seeing the connections between things. Drawing my daily to-do's in mind map form is just another way of many I use them in my daily life, which means one blank notebook can serve many other purposes aside from just planning my day.

How do you "tick off" completed or postponed tasks?
@LoneWolf-wp9dn
@LoneWolf-wp9dn 10 ай бұрын
you should put goals on the different items... that way you can justify putting more time in or cutting and moving to the next one... where appropriate of course
@ShengHuang
@ShengHuang 6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your suggestion about integrating goals into the different items on the mind map! It's indeed a great idea to have clear objectives for each element, which can help in prioritizing tasks and managing time more effectively. Your point about using this approach to justify the time spent on each task or deciding when to move on is particularly insightful. Personally, I tend to document my tracked work in a spreadsheet, as I use the Pomodoro technique for time management. This method helps me keep a clear record of how much time I'm spending on each task and maintains my focus. I appreciate you sharing this concept, and it's definitely something others can consider integrating into their own process! It could add an additional layer of clarity and purpose to the mind maps, making them even more useful as a productivity tool. Thanks again for your input.

For people who read the book Mind Map Mastery by Tony Buzan (the one who discovered mind maps) would clearly say that this is not a mind map. You have just mixed up some concepts from mind map, some from spider diagrams and created your own. Step 1: Brainstorm A Central Idea. Step 2: Come Up With An Impressive Image. Step 3: Color Your Map. Step 4: Create Connections. Step 5: Make Your Branches Curved. Step 6: Use Single Key Words. Step 7: Replace Words With Pictures.

Thanks for the summary! I'm aware. If we do not innovate on others' work, we will stay stagnate as a species. So each generation will add and build on the previous generation, take what they gave, master the fundamentals and continue to create and improve. That is progress my friend.

I had difficulty in understanding it but now I do ! An example : The 2-week sprint method is basically 4 different groups :- 12345 ; 678910 11 ; abcde ; fghijkl I have to do few from all in each day in such a way that i slowly progress all simultaneously and finish them all in the end at same time rather than juust choose 1 group for few days What to do : O Day 1 -----> 12 ; 6 ; abc ; fg Day 2 -------> 345 ; 78 ; d ; h Day 3 -------> Group 1 satisfied ; 9 ; e ; ij Day 4 -------> Group 1 satisfied ; 10 ; Group 3 satisfied ; kl Day 5 --------> Group 1 satisfied ; 11 ; Group 3 satisfied ; Group 4 satisfied Day 6 ------> Group 1 satisfied ; Group 2 satisfied ; Group 3 satisfied ; Group 4 satisfied Day 7 -------> Enjoy! You earned the break :) What not to do : X Day 1 ------> 12345 Day 2 ----> 678910 11 (This can exhaust you and not be an efficient way for you to do your tasks!) Day 3 ------> abcde Day 4 -----------> fghijkl The amount of distribution of tasks can differ from person to person bc of how much time and effort they put in it and how fast and efficiently they do the task. Your day 1 can have 1234 ; 67 ; ab ; fghi if you are strong enough. (P.S. - 12345 , 678910 11 , abcde , fghijkl are task groups with each alphabet / number in them being each task.
