part 1: radio host: (she's slovenian so i didn't understand some things she said at the beginning of the interview :) ) it's 1:5(? ) p.m. and you're in company of Radio Kaos (eng. chaos) on www.radiokaos.info on the 60th tv channel of Ljubljana tv (?). Behind the microphone and the studio mixer (?), there is our special guest, in the studio with us today. He comes from Macedonia and he's a singer, Toše Proeski. Hello, Toše. Toše: Hello. :)) host: ?? (...) our conversation will be held in croatian, a bit in serbian, and a little bit in slovenian (something like that :) ) Toše, around a month ago, you published your new album 'Pratim te' (macedonian 'Po tebe'). that's already your fifth album, if i'm not mistaken. toše: the fifth one, that's right. but the second one, for slovenian market. host: the first two albums were in macedonian. toše: the first THREE albums. :) radio host: the first three albums? toše: yes. ha, ha. :)) radio host: wasn't the third one in serbian? toše: no. ha, ha. :)) host: but i have that album in serbian language at home. toše: well, maybe that's... host: that's the 'ako me pogledaš u oči' ('ako me pogledneš vo oči') album. toše: well,yeah, ok. some songs from that album are in serbian, but the rest is in macedonian. only a couple of songs were made in serbian. host: can you tell us a bit more about your new album? toše: well, i can say that i'm completely satisfied with every song on that album. in comparison to my previous albums, i had a lot of time, enough time, to pick the songs that i really like, and put them on my album. i didn't really like all the songs on my other albums, tho. it was simply the combination of right authors and the right team this time,definitely. i've just discusssed about it with nina. i told her that, for the first time, i really enjoyed listening to the songs on my album. i actually put the cd in the cd player in my car and listened to it. that has never happened before. i don't know why is that, but that's the truth. i like all the songs from this album equally, and in my opinion, this is the best album that i've published so far. host: mhhm. (now she's translating their conversation in slovenian, for slovenian audience) (after her translation) toše: everything you said is correct. bravo. :)) host: how much time did it take for this album to be made? toše: we had worked on it for about five months. it took us time to pick the songs for it, to decide the place where it should be recorded, how we should do it, and to pick the team to work with, etc. so, it took us around five months to finish it, from the beginning till the mixing prt, in the end. host: and where was this album recorded? toše: ahh, part of it was recorded in 'studio red light', in zagreb, but everything was mixed here, then part of it was recorded in skopje, and a part in studio 'metro', here in ljubljana. in my opinion, that's one of the best studios on the territory of former yugoslavian countries. i'm really satisfied with our work in that studio, with the man that worked with us there,with that song mixing etc. (the host translates toše's answers in slovenian) host: can you name some authors that worked on this album? toše: most of the songs were composed by miro buljan, a composer from croatia, whom i met recently. the moment tony suggested his own composer... host. tony cetinski? toše: yes, tony cetinski. he suggested that his composer should write a duet for me and tony. and the two of us pick a duet. that's when i realised that the man who wrote that duet could write most of the songs on my latest album. so, there you go, we decided that he should be that man. and i'm really satisfied with him. then, i worked again with leontina vukomanović, from belgrade (she wrote 'čija si') and aleksandra milutinović, a woman also from belgrade, who wrote, i don't know if you remember it or if you even heard that song that i sang with goca tržan '1200 milja'. host: mhmm. i really like that song. toše: yeah, that's an old song. it's been around for 4 years since we made it. i also asked aleksandra milutinović to write me a song, and she did. but there are also three songs that i wrote, too. host: which songs did you write? toše: woah, i can't really remember now, ha ha! :)) i need to see the list on my album. please, please give me the cd so i can see the list. let's see... i wrote number 5, 'mala', 'poljsko cvijeće', and the third one, the third one, the third one... is... i just need to find it. where did it hide?! :) i really can't find it. :)) (shall be continued :)) )
