Clear explanation. I'm just a sim pilot and always thought the to/from indication said something about the flight direction to the center of the VOR circle. If all goes well, I won't get lost in bad weather anymore 😬😬 . Thank you.

Thx! Studying for the written now….test is Monday and the VOR is my consistent weak point. Your video was a great refresher and step by step…which I needed.

Anytime! Good luck! Be sure to review up on basicmed as we have been seeing students be asked about that a lot lately. No interpolating anymore and no multiple step calculation questions. You’ll be lucky if you get 1 or 2 e6b type questions now. They are focusing more so on memorization and stability/loss of control stuff. So also give a good review of stalls and stability and control.

You were 100% correct! Got a 95 yesterday when I took it….and it was a weird test. I know the basic med…but they asked a really off tangential question but I think I still got it right. Only the FAA can write such poorly worded questions. Anyhoo…thanks so much. I felt really good going into the exam and you helped me nail VOR.

@@PartTimePilot if I can recall it properly….it was not a standard basic med question…not the certificated at 6 occupants or 6,000lbs, 250 kts, below 18,000 flight level….it was more along the lines of which of the following must you have or do….choices were 1-must have the cmec with you, 2-something not associated with basic med…way out there and 3-must comply with your drivers license requirements…..which is what I selected. I recalled somewhere recently during my studying that under basic you’re just supposed to be able to fly with your drivers license and I want to say that there was a reference to following any restrictions on a DL….such as vision correction. That seemed to make the most sense to me. It was a poorly worded question and I expected something more along the way of spitting out a rule. Hope that helps. I wish I could remember it better.
