Last year today I "disappeared" for the year, subconsciously because of this man. I spent the entire year reading, learning and doing and repeat. I went in to the darkness of my mind batted the demons week after week. Contomplated many thoughts good and bad. Today my 35th birthday I am not the same man I was 1year ago. I am physically, mentally, and spiritually my own... Take others' advice, but do not let them control you and, most of all, your thoughts. Become your own man, not your father.

Sure are but not Petersons words here are the gracious words " Ho everyone that thristeth come ye to the waters and he that hath no money come yea come buy wine and milk without money and without price, wherefore do you ye labor for that which is not bread and your soul for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto me and eat ye that which is good and let thy soul delight itself in fatness"

@@user-wz7fe2bq5chow does your comment even make sense? I thought I might have read your response incorrectly buuut no, there it was, a comment for the sake of commenting
@user-wz7fe2bq5c
@user-wz7fe2bq5c 2 ай бұрын
@@user-vz6vv4ut8h Its a demonstration of what graciousness really looks like and your comment is a deception on your part. Jordan tries to use the Bible as his tool and its not HIS word its Gods word. If that dosnt make sense to you then its because you just like Jordan dont have the holy spirit operating in you. A piece of holographic film under normal light looks blurry but if you use the right light an image appears. Without the Holy spirit what youre reading will not make sense. The words I typed are from Isaiah um chapter 55 I think it is. Someone like you and jordan who think they are good enough already probably wouldnt see them as gracious words. However those of us who can admit that our nature is fallen and believe on Christ as our kinsman redeemer know those words to among the most gracious words one could EVER hear or in this case read.

I’ve suffered a lot because of my family. Worked hard to not become them. As a man in my late 30s I finally felt I had made it. I was for the first time happy, but I never dealt with the demons. Just pushed them into compartments I didn’t see anymore. Then it all blew up in my face. Brother committed suicide, Mom fell back into depressed alcoholism, Dad deeper into mental illness and all that trauma also brought back everything I had buried. It was a dark few years. Some times I wasn’t sure I was going to get out of. But for the first time I feel hope. I feel like I’m able to see a light in all that darkness. It’s never a destination. Always a journey

Jesus believed that too and embodied it! Dr. Peterson is a great man! I’d like to talk with him one day. one of the issues with truth is as soon as you advocate it, the persecution is soon to follow! Case in point, look at the cowards in the psychological community trying to rob Dr. Peterson of his license! A bunch of worms if you ask me🤔but Dr. Peterson don’t need a license from people like that, the amount of lost souls he’s helped in his videos ( including myself) speaks for itself! So here is the truth pertaining to that particular situation that Dr. Peterson is facing, to hell with those maggots who are trying to bully him out of that great accomplishment. It’s self evident that you’ve transcended that piece of paper from the countless people you’ve helped!

Remember what you can do for others, if you are strong yourself. So, charity starts at home - with yourself. Find your inner happiness, and then you can indeed encourage others. It is so true what Jordan says - it takes so little - as long as it comes from your heart. I will on that note also warn you a bit. There is nothing which works if it is forced. So a walking around as a day-week-and-month-long encourator - will not work. You will wear yourself out, and the ones you try to encourage will sense that it did not come from your heart but came from maybe an intellectual attempt to correct a wrong from your childhood. Therefore, I can strongly recommend that you find out what really drives you, yourself, and then from that point, go ahead full blast encouraging people within that driving point of yours.

Its amazing how little encouragement we, as people need. We thrive off of that. It seems a bit childish to hear "youre doing a good job". But sometimes, a small push will encourage us to move a mountain. It's having someone who will be encouraging that is the problem, and so we feel like failures, although we aren't.

In the movie Fast and furious where Paul Walker died, I get choked up when I heard that song "See you then" , As a palliative nurse I wondered of the hundreds, if not thousands of people I have seen die, how many had Jesus in their life, and as a result, I would see them again. Grow to suffer, No one suffered more than Jesus, Some may think they have. But ask yourself, did you chose that suffering to benefit someone else. Jesus gives us that See you again possibility.

The biggest problem for many is that they don't feel it's worth making a change, because they know from experience something bad will happen from out of the blue and kick you back down again. At some point, after having been defeated by life in countless ways, countless of times, you give up even attempting that first step. When you have invested a lot of time, effort and hope in attempting to change, when the failure comes it knocks you down even further than before.

Like the FlyLady, Marla Cilley, whose very wise husband, with all the encroaching clutter in the home, asked her (I presume non-judgementally) just for one thing - a clean sink every morning so he could make his morning coffee! And now she runs a caring empire teaching millions to declutter! All from a baby step of keeping a clean sink. And yes, to look at one small part of the problem IS to see the whole dragon. That IS what makes it so hard to make that change. Because dragons tend to bite, LOL! And breathe fire! And until we learn we ARE stronger than the dragon, it is scary.

Finding the balance in life can bring a sense of fulfillment and meaning. Use some strategies to help you gain balance and perspective in how you’re living your life such as prioritising your time, making compromises and being optimistic. We are all capable of great things. Even if we do not think of ourselves as artists or creative innovators, we all have a varying amount of energy, intelligence and discipline to expand on our ability to express ourselves and be creative.

Thanks for honoring my freedom of speech. Religion teaches that we are a huge disappointment to "GOD" and that we are born in sin ... and that only words from theologians can make us "see the light" and to be whole once again "in the EYES of "GOD" I heard Jordan on one of his podcasts say that he was "half"-joking when he said the following words ... but I didn't believe him ... because people that fear an image of a god ... do NOT JOKE about that very serious subject. “I act as if God exists, and I’m terrified he might.” ~ Jordan Peterson When I was still confused by religion ... I was relieved to read that there were scientists such as Stephen Hawking, who theorized that in one form or another, the universe and energy always existed ... no creator ... no plan ... and that suffering of all forms of life ... is natural. I suggest it's way past time to deprive religion of its fear-filled power.

I needed to hear this! After just losing my job after almost 14 years and two weeks before Christmas is when they let me go. I sacrificed so much to work my way up and also to make more money. I kept pushing myself to learn more about the industry and I was super honest. Honest to the point I would challenge management to do the right things. In this particular industry it was everyone's duty to do the right thing to protect the lives of the consumers. Maybe that's what put me on the chopping block? At least I could hold my head up high knowing I did what was right but once I was fired I felt my whole world was falling apart. I have a plan to start my own business. Of course I jumped into it full force and it became overwhelming. So much so that I felt like I couldn't move forward. Now I'm taking a few steps back and creating smaller goals so I feel like I'm making progress! This video definitely helped!! Thank you!

Well done for your commitment to honesty …this will help you more than you can know. We often hear of people who have been less than honest being caught out years later. Keep going. Everything changes…the bad times …and the good.

Sorry you've had to suffer. As I get older I wonder about principal v practical more and more as it seems individual principal so rarely impacts the problems we face. Rather, the piper gets punished.

😮😢 honestly I feel like I was in a similar situation...I never lost a job to that extent but every time I felt undermined or felt like my potential and worth was more it led me on a path that back then I felt like was hurting my life but little by little I 🪜 the ladder not in any specific career even experienced times in jail and felt like the resulting situation of my wrong choices would make me take steps back or fall completely....but due to the fact I might have made small goals bigger diligence to perform with good work ethic I slowly climbed even while the world's situations should have left me flat on my face......yet still felt like I wanted my own business.... something told me to not just jump off the ladder I climbed and just put the business as a secondary source of income and not fully investing time completely......now i still doubt that it was a decent idea since instead of just dropping my 9 to 5 and just jump into being a owner of my own business...that I could slowly progress it while I balance the job I worked as somewhat of a supportive supervisor with a higher than normal pay wage but essentially sacrificing the boss mentality throughout the main portion of every day of the week ....I still havent chose to jump into it completely...some may say it isnt the right move where others may say was a smart small step....what's your opinion 😮😢
