Feli already told all busy bodies that they also do confinement . It is not just a Chinese culture. African cultures do it too. In my culture people do not even see the baby until after two weeks - one month.

According to the Chinese culture, she has to sleep, eat, and breastfeed the baby during her healing period. Lawu being so shy and private will not allow the cameraman to film her breastfeeding her son. After her healing period, you will see a different Lawu. I think she has put on some weight.❤️

In these few months she's gotten married, moved in with in-laws, had to learn a new language and had a baby and home sickness!!! My goodness that is a lot of changes for anyone to process! Rose and Feli have been in China for years! They surely had to adjust in those years and have now settled into the culture and way of life. Let's be gracious to others instead of just judging them.

@valeriabell6991 (as a Chinese Medicine practitioner) I think the long sleeves are for keeping her body warm, because giving birth cost a lot of her Qi, she also needs that Qi to produce milk for the baby, so when keeping her arms and whole body warm (connected meridians), she doesn't have to use extra energy/Qi to warm her body, but te use it for her own healing and for the baby. That is the most practical thing I can think of. In Chinese medicine cold and wind can cause damage. And I agree with you, they are so loud around the baby, it's like invading that gentle ethereal energy that surrounds a baby.

Lawu gets MUCH time to be with her son and bond. They just don't show us that. Remember, she is still healing. Chinese people have the same culture as where I come from, people help a lot and stick together, that's LOVE that's FAMILY ❤
