My answer is to pull when I can handle more disappointment.

Great idea for a video. A well thought out and breakdown of best practice using shards. Just one thing and it's my opinion, but I would say that 2x in the early days is not only the best time to pull but it also leads you towards mercy. If you can double that up with events for extra value all the better. However, I would say to stay away from 1+1's until you are close to mercy and have the shards to go all the way through mercy too. So, for ancient shards that's reaching 220 max. For sacred shards that is a maximum of 37 I believe, but it may be as much as 40. However, you should never, in all probability pull beyond 29. Many a time I've heard tails of woe about a 2x where they could reach mercy (200 ancients mostly) and expected to get a legendry only to have burnt 40/50/60 shards and ended with nothing because they didn't account for the extra mercy amount. Also, once you actually have enough shards to go through mercy to wait until the 1+1 to pull regardless of any tempting events, exception fusions ofc, as this is best value for your shards. I fused Wixwell today, and he's fully booked, has all of his masteries, max ascension. And he is giving my Clan Boss team on Ultra Nightmare the damage score of 180 million. So, everything you just pretty covered I do agree with and it's how I play this game.

I completely agree, I only pull when it helps me, in an event like a fusion etc, or if there is a great guarntee.

Great content. Good balanced comments about it depending on you as a player, your account progress and what you want to do. Five months in and I'm still trying to balance preserving some shards to be able to do fusions but not to the point of missing 2x events and access to epics to progress. One of my best sacred shard pulls was all epics including geo and dhukk. Also just got deacon from this event. I've only occasionally spent on sacred offers available at account level x7 progress. That helped me to complete the Armanz fusion.

I agree with your point of view, another positive for a guaranteed Lego is: it will not reset your mercy which will change the maths slightly, I hope this hasn't changed

Excellent content. I came to the same conclusion completely independently. I pulled everything for Wixwell because of the community involvement determining his abilities, thought that was really cool. As a result, I got extra gold tomes and even the Feast. That went on to Anchorite (new UNM clan boss team) which narrowly helped us win CvC. 💪 I'll pull again in 2025. 😂

I had the most insane rates yesterday! 8 sacreds 3 legos (Lanakis, Foli and King Gallcobar) also went for 8 voids and got a demytha. Most luck i had in 250 days played. My buff extention team is ready for wixwell to come home for a one key UNM 😊🎉

F2P here playing for year and 1/2 ... I agree 100% on going after Leggo Tomes and saving shards for fusion (guaranteed champ) that is my strategy too ... I have over 35 Legos that need tomes ... I don't need more champs at this point ... I need to get the ones I have to full power so I can use them and have fun building them ... Leggo Tomes they are so hard to acquire for me even with UN CB daily

I got lucky during the last extra legendary shard pull. I pulled a sacred shard and got Teodor and Valkyrie. This was my first time getting Valkyrie. I've had a six star blessing waiting for her for over a year.

I totally agree to the point of "will the champ get into any of my teams?" = Will I want to book him/her asap? If yes I do the fusion If no, I skip. The game needs to be simple. I don't care to just to have in my vaults. I do enjoy having champs built-geared and hopefully booked (not top builds but decent). I spend in primarily energy hence I have an ok flow of books, so I might be in a sort of different perspective though.

After missing Narses guaranteed, I am saving every last void I can get. Currently at 80+. It's better to have the option to say "no, I don't want this champion, I'm not going to pull" than "oh, I'm out of shards :(".

Since king narses, i have decided i will save voids for guaranteeds, im at 130+ now, prepared for the next one, before that i only pulled on fusion champ chases with void 2xs. Ancients only on guaranteeds, 1+1 near mercy and fusion champ chases only the needed ones in 2xs. Sacreds only on fusion champ chases 2xs and guaranteeds for now on, i stoped going for 1+1s unless im at least at 20 sacreds on mercy

I always enjoy watching your videos, Colred. I pulled a lot of sacreds (16) for 1+1. I got lucky and pulled the epic for the current fusion, so I can skip the current summon event. I also pulled my 3rd Lugan and a Cupidus I see you have a Cupidus, but no Venus. That's of interest for me, as I have no Venus. Did you find any value for him alone and can you recommend a build for him? In all vids I've seen, he's paired with Venus, but that's not an option I have

great and thought-provoking vid... like everyone else, leggo books are one of my biggest bottlenecks. so, if i have enough extra spare shards saved up, it is good value to open the additional shards to get the 3 leggo books along the bottom row of the current summon rush event (and, of course, doing this on the day that has the champions i need most up for the 15x-25x progressive) ? or am i better off saving those shards for something else coming in the future ? also, when the leggo book shows up in the clan shop for 3k clan coins, is that a good deal or bad ?

2x epics cannot be understated for an early or mid game account. Massive progression from lots of different epic champs.

I'm still working on the Arbiter missions and nightmare campaign, I am now saving up my shards, I have enough champs to get up to lvl 60 at the moment, i just got dark elhain today, I have fused relickeeper and broadmaw, I'm @ lvl 62, with 8 lvl 60 champs, only full masteries on 2, and still need to bring cupidous up to lvl 60, ninja is there, grinding 5 more for masteries and it's taking forever, I have decided to spend 10 bucks a month on the daily gem pack, mostly for masteries-when you take gear, masteries, books and leveling up into consideration-pulling shards, fusions etc-why not wait? build the champs you got up first then go for more, by doing this when you are ready to build another champ you will have plenty of shards to pull for the event

On three of my accounts have pretty much yellow my shards... but one I'm to be able to spend a little bit every month and it's crazy how many champions I have unbooked (lol on all of 'em) I pulled Mr. Dragonbane and Candyman on the last 1+1...2 in...who would you build first?

I feel like 2x ancients now has a LOT of extra value due to the ability to empower epics, even epics you don't want to empower are now great as faction guardians to free up dupe good epics for empowerment.

Shards are currency. Yes, you get champs from them, but viewing them as currency and the champs as a bonus is a great mental way to stave off disappointment. I save them for events I need to use them for (fusions) that mostly coincide with 1+1 or 2x events. I mostly save for 2X events, but if I get close to mercy, I stop and wait for a 1+1.

I'm on day 105 on my main account, so I have been playing it just over 3 months, like 3 months and 2 weeks. it wasn't my first account through, I made that one in December, so I have played this game for about 5 months in total. Now, my account lacks a solid Hydra tank. I know Krisk is up today, but I don't want to pull for him on a 25X. The last time I did that I didn't get a single lego. It does mean my mercy counter went up, but probably not far enough. the thing with Krisk is, he's probably better for Hydra than Wixwell. I'm personally not going for the fusion so that's why I'm having this dilemma. if i was, I wouldn't because I would pull all my shards to get the points i needed.

Pulled alll my void shards but one for the fusion I only had 1 sacred and 5 mythicals got some decent epics but nothing to progress my account hoping that wixwell will make the difference in Hydra for me with duches on a 4 month old account.

For my account the answer is probably never pull as i have god awful luck. Decided on the next 2x Mythical event if i don't get a mythical especially if i whale out ill just quit That would be the sign that my account is cursed and it just wonr get good pulls.
