Matts. Never change. I love this throwback style video to your early days. You may not know how much, but your videos have gotten me through tough times and you just being a genuine guy out there sharing both success and sometimes no success is so refreshing and needed in this time where all you see is instant gratification on most social platforms. You are the real real and thats why I love your videos.

Good safety tips on rocks! I'll give you one in return. Get a short length of rope and tie it into the handle of your bucket. You can throw and retrieve the bucket and not have to go right to the edge of the water! Love the content!

The bobber would work good off docks and piers here in Florida. Next time try tying a length of light anchor rope to the bucket handle; so you can retrieve the water. We even use a clip,so we can clip it on the handle and off.

Just a tip: For walking on slippery rocks, buy a pair of felt soles for waders and glue them to a dedicated pair of shoes with shoe goo or similar. Can kinda literally be a life saver. You might need to grind the sole of the shoe down a little to get a good glue.

You could just fill up your bucket with bait fish. Pressure cook them so the bones are edible, then pan fry with butter, etc. Delicious!
@chir0pter2 жыл бұрын
Interesting idea to soften the bones. Would be great to bread and deep fry too. Btw speaking of eating 'bait' does anyone eat Crangon bay shrimp up there in the Bay Area? In regions bordering the North Sea they're a delicacy, fry in butter, eat shell and all, cannot be beat
@moretimethanmoney86112 жыл бұрын
@@chir0pter If they exist there I'm sure someone eats them, unless they're protected. Back to eating bait... Most bait fishes' bones are edible even when fried. But in the pressure cooker the spine gets soft too, so you can get the extra calcium and nerve tissue nutrients. You can make them into cakes, sandwich fillings, or pizza toppings when bones aren't an issue.
@chir0pter2 жыл бұрын
@@moretimethanmoney8611 yeah I thought you lived there, I think people catch and buy them for bait so there might be a bit of a barrier to eating them. They really are one of the top 2 or 3 seafoods I've ever had tho, at least the species from Europe
