If the “slayer” had shot Aggie, I think they had a chance of winning I think. Shooting the magician and nothing happening all but confirmed her to the point they had to kill her. At best they could have made the claim that if Cat was a minion, the the magician could have star passed, but it’s still unlikely not to go for Aggie.

I literally just did this yesterday. I bluffed high priestess as magician and got the demon to put their info day 1. D1 rerack bc I’d go “I’m high priestess I gotta talk to you”

But the demon would be shown you as a minion or magician, which guarantees you're not a HP?

Why don't people take bounty hunter pings more seriously? It's amazing info (assuming no poison), and you do need to act on it, because there's one more evil.

I love Bounty Hunter on the same script as Drunk, because you could then have an evil drunk which is Hilarious!...

Technically you can't, as the Drunk is an outsider that thinks it's a townsfolk, and the bounty hunter makes a Townsfolk evil. That said what you *could* do is make a puzzle master instead, and make them drunk that way. That said it's putting the evil team on the back foot, so probably not worth actually doing

@@DasGanon There's still quite a bit of benefit to having an extra teammate just for social info-gathering and voting, but their lack of ability is probably going to make them look a bit suspicious as well as potentially feeding the evil team misinformation.

Isn’t the moonchild poison done wrong.. moonchilds ability procs when it wasn’t poisoned So the bounty hunter should have died?

The player dies at the point in the night order when the Moonchild acts. So the player doesn't die because the Moonchild was poisoned at the point at which it would have caused the kill. Same as a Gossip, basically. - Ben

Rules Question: Why didn't Jacqui not die of the moon child ability if the poison was applied after death? Jacqui was named before being poisoned.

Because the moonchild has a position in the night order, so at the time when the action (kill) was due to take place the ability was poisoned. The same as a true gossip can be poisoned/drunk before a kill can occur, or a juggler can name three abilities correctly, be poisoned and then learn an incorrect number in the night.

@@mrmalakiThat's interesting, someone should update the wiki entry then; there, it's listed as "If the Moonchild is sober and healthy at night but was drunk or poisoned when they chose a player today, that player dies. If the Moonchild is drunk or poisoned at night but was sober and healthy when they chose a player today, that player doesn’t die."

@captain_kadaver No, that's exactly what I said (but probably worded better). The moment the chosen player dies is dictated by a certain time in the night order, it is at that point (not the moment of choice) that their health and sobriety of the Moonchild is checked.

I think the meta will work out that an Evil High Priestess should get the Magician in a Magician game, because it sort of works as a confirmation, for the Magician, to give cover to why a good high priestess would get them (or alternatively would serve as a get 1 minion first night before bluffs as to why a good High Priestess would get an evil player). And for the Evil High Priestess, it can serve as a determination for who the real Demon is, without ever getting the Demon as a ping, which probably hurts evil's chances if the High Priestess is ever outed as evil. The problem is if it fails, it will fail hard, but the role is an advanced role, and for a given meta with experienced players, I don't know if that's as big a risk.

I always liked the wording for telling evil about the magician being "Your evil team is xyz" instead of separating between minions and demon since it literally takes the minions having a day 1 chat, ignoring their demon day 1, the demon noticing that and then going up to the minions to confirm the 3 minions they saw. Doing "your evil team is xyz" basically makes both minions and demon have to think that the magician is within the 3 of them. Separating them basically confirms to the minions who the other minion is.

The problem with that is that the magician specifies that minions learn about two demons instead of just there being an extra evil

The point is that the minions can at least trust each other; it's not meant to be as chaotic as Poppy Grower.

Is it just me or does Bounty Hunter seem like an outsider most games. Every game I’ve seen the bounty hunter seems a massive hindrance for good.

Idk about other games but in this one it's mostly because of the n1 poison snipe that it looks like that.

Bounty Hunter (when sober and healthy) straight up learns evil players one by one. It's so extremely powerful that to counterbalance it, someone else is automatically Evil. That is a *huge* sign for just how OP it is
