What do you know, after 4 years of absence, and within it 3 years of pandemic scare, our favorite tribute gig to our beloved 48 girls was back again. This time in the form of 1 DEKADE BINGO! Gosh, can't really believe it's already 10 years of this subculture phenom.
JKT48 is arguably at its peak right now, building off momentum morbidly thanks to the pandemic and the pivot to streaming, showrooms, zoom backed video call and of course those pesky tiktok bite sized videos. Almost every week they're performing in every town, every music festival, every TV Show, with huge crowds chanting their oshis and singing their songs.
In the midst of this second coming of JKT48, Bingo! (MBAHJAN666KRIK - 2013) presents their 3rd tribute shows. For this celebration of 10 years of music, fandom, community, and support tulus, they are bringing an eclectic bunch of performers that celebrate both the old and the new guard of JKT48 fans. And with that, they are also attracting their biggest crowd to date.
The veterans from the first ever Bingo!, SATURDAY NIGHT KARAOKE and KULTIVASI are back with their classic repertoire (KULTIVASI with their theatrical acts and SNK with their nostalgia induced energetic set) that brought the house down.
CUBFIRES and APE from TARRKAM are also back for their second BINGO! stage, fresh from 2019’s BINGO! Revival, both with new line ups. APE with a truly electric new act, F00RY, and even more electric rendition of RIVER. While CUBFIRES, riding their last year inclusion in the 100 Best Indonesian Songs list all the way into one of 48’s best songs BERSAMA KAMU, PELANGI DAN MENTARI. Safe to say it was chaos down there on the floor and on the stage (for F00RY’s case).
The new guard, or the new era, part of 1 DEKADE BINGO! is represented by MUCH and TOAST. MUCH with their guest vocalist, Febi Komaril, a former member of JKT48 7th Gen, the staple of JKT48’s new era. And TOAST with their reputation as the band with their band shirt worn by JKT48’s members the most (and with their involvement in one of JKT48’s members fanbase ((Freya)), although unconfirmed). MUCH and TOAST gave 1 DEKADE BINGO their sweetest and fastest, in that order, moment of the night with NAGAI HIKARI and HAGAVI being two of the highlights of a night with many highlights.
