My favorite type of horror games are those games that teleport you to some random place filled with weird npcs and you're the only one in it. For some reason being teleported to a place with no people is so isolating and creepy to me.

Yeah it was pretty stress inducing, but that was sorta why I played it tbh

Flee the facility is more of a trolling game. Since it's actually very easy to juke a beast and it's quite fun to do it until they quit. Edit: Opening all doors and slamming them when the beast is about to enter. Going loop to loop around a room with holes, because a beast can't crawl. Failing a computer purposely to lure it. Etc

@@kazuma162 i had no idea, i tried to play this game for the first time yesterday and just couldn’t get it. the beast followed me specifically and then left the game right before it ended. i was so put off lmfao

i was kind of hoping he'd mention something about that when he was talking about camping, i remember when the game was new whatever "horror" game me and my friends would play would have a super similar story line to camping. I really think it influenced like half of the horror games made at that time. And now its a similar case with the mimic, i can't find any games that don't involve getting through a long maze with some sort of entity looking for you

I think Bear is the perfect game because there is no camping and its kinda funny because of the bears look

There are also very big mysteries in Bear

I recommend Bear* and Bear Deluxe when it comes out

the "mazes" in book 2 did have a great improvement compared to book 1 though also apeirophobia and doors are blowing up recently in the horror genre so at least we have some good gems of games to enjoy for now

It does have little jumpscares but no monsters. Tbh I'd call it a psychological horror rather than classic horror, but indeed kept me on my toes! Really depicted paranoia perfectly and how stress and pressure can be more disastruous than anything from the exterior.

paranormica was the fucking shit but now it got ruined with the new van lobby and the super cheap jumpscares that happened when you open the house, for a psychological horror game cheap jumpscares arent the way to go. I absolutely loved that game for a really long period back in 2020 when I first discovered it, now it isn't that good anymore unfortunately, but still a good game i guess
