This new progress shown on the game has me really excited honestly, it looks super promising. It will be really refreshing after all the bitterness from Skate 4 and what not, all that I see really needs some more work is the smoothness in the animations, the environments already look great.

It's not even beta yet, this games still in alpha stages. Compared to the original Prison demo it's improved so damn much, just give em some time.

Dylan Cockersell its great actually, toasty does unrealistic tricks from time to time, but it has that small possibility of being real. Way better than trick lining

El Toro - there’s a skatepark here that requires helmets and pads. It sucks. And the cops watch that place. Last time I was there, I got a ticket for no pads. I have to travel like 30 mins to an hour to the next nearest park.

This game is so much fun. Has a lot of glitches and the controls are pretty difficult at first, but the map with all the spots and the feeling of landing a cool trick make it all worth it.

trick suggestion: sw back 360 kickflip, done like 180 or 270°, completed with a revert over some long gap :)

SkaterXL is more casual. Grinds are a lot different. However, turning with triggers and the left stick/right stick trick control feels about the same. The two games are very similar, but very different

I’d like to see you do one of Chris Cole’s signature moves. It’s a front 180 over the rail to switch back feeble on the rail then front 180 back to regular off the rail, if that makes sense?

Snail Cage you can’t blame every single flaw on “early access” they released it for a reason. No body asked them to release it early access. Skater xl already looks 1000 times better

b. gul I prefer Skater XL aswell, which has a ton of issues aswell including close to zero official content in terms of gameplay. Mechanically the two games work completely different. And yes, thousands of people asked for the game to be released as early access. That’s pretty standard for PC games on the Steam platform. I would also say it’s laughable to say Skater XL looks better than this. The controls and mechanics are absolutely lightyears better but this game looks significantly better visually. And you absolutely can blame unfinished game mechanics on early access. That’s generally what early access means. Which is also why you can’t skate transition in Skater XL whatsoever or do grabs and why manuals look and feel terrible. That’s what early access is for. You release a game, and listen to what the people playing it have to say about it. I don’t really understand what point you’re trying to make.

That’s why I explained what I did. I think it was the way I was controlling the tricks. If I would’ve done it how the game intended, the animations would probably be correct. How I transitioned from nose slide to switch manual confused the game.

I had such a hard time getting into this game I even considered getting a refund but the more I play it the more I like it. I just hope they do a better job at communicating than the people behind Skater XL, which is setting the bar pretty low but still..

I don’t think the controls switch when you’re going switch/fakie unless you have it set to do that. For instance a switch flip should be done like a Nollie flip and the front hurricane is like a 180 to smith/feeble grind.

There’s 2 different control schemes. Left/right foot, and the other is front/back foot. I use left/right foot, where the left stick is left foot.. right stick is right. Nollie flip - Left stick - UP, Right stick - LEFT Switch flip - Left stick - DOWN, Right stick - RIGHT

Mr. Steal Your Dog - well if you have an Xbox One, you’ll be able to play really soon. The controls are weird at first if you’ve only played Skate or Tony Hawk, but you get used to them really quick. Sometimes, I try to do Session controls on Skate by accident now.

Mr. Steal Your Dog - it will be coming to Xbox in October. You said you couldn’t wait to play, so I figured you had a PC or Xbox. They have plans for PS4, but I think that’s a long ways off.
