Description:
A TRIBUTE TO THE ROLAND TB-303 AND ITS CREATOR TADAO KIKUMOTO!
This mix is a tribute to my eternal love, the analog bass synth 'Roland TB-303 Bass Line'.
This little 30 year old silver machine, with its magic frequencies coming out of it, got a very special place in my heart & brain since about 17 years.
It is the only thing on earth which I'd consider as being holy and worth to found a religion for! :)
For me it is the most important invention of mankind after the wheel!
This mix contains 80 minutes of classic Acid tracks from the golden years 1993-97 at very enjoyable 130bpm. It's very atmospheric, less melodic and not too experimental, stressful, dry or weird.
The goal was to create a kinda relaxed but yet powerful mix, which can be enjoyed at quite many occasions and not just a party! For my taste I reached this goal perfectly! :)
It was a quite hard task to find all these tracks. In the beginning I knew only 3 of those 14, the others I digged out over the last few weeks, listening many, many, many hours through several hundred tracks on every Trance, Hardtrance and Acid compilation/album from the 90s I could find!
Beside this it was an insanely high effort to put all these tracks with their extremely different production levels into a well flowing & good sounding mix (aka TB quality)! ;)

Ahhh..as much as I'd love to say I remember the good years I cant. But this mix takes me back to trying to catch my shoe laces by the bar. I was wearing flip flops. Excellent mix!

Behringer TD-3 is also a good replacement of a silver box, a closest acid without breaking a budget!

TB, you've knocked it out of the park once again! Emmanuel Top - Turkish Bazar (Massivo Vivona Remix) is one of the ultimate acid tracks of the 90's. I have to say that my all-time favorite is still 'Hardfloor - Lost In The Silverbox'. Maybe it may appear on another of your acid mixes ;) With the video at 60FPS it's awesome, however do I wish KZfaq updated their player to account for this. Cheers, your ever loyal listener :)

This is really cool - nice work - visuals go so well with the tunes as well. I have been digging for classic acid tracks as well, maybe a little earlier (1988-ish) - used to have loads on bootleg cassettes but long since lost. These are close to what I have been searching for though!

Very cool Acid mix. Love the retro sounds. Was deep i to Acid back in the 90's but I evolved through the genres and ended up with Goa and Psy. Nice nostalgisk feeling. Thanks. Btw. what is the tool for the visuals?

the video is an experiment as it is recorded and uploaded in 720p at 60FPS! this makes the video much smoother but unfortunately the KZfaq codec creates some really ugly compression artefacts several times. for future uploads I'd like to hear your oppinion: upload with 30FPS & less artefacts but not that smooth or 60FPS but with ugly compression artefacts?
