In this video I want to show you 3 ways to improve your speed on the badminton court dramatically and will give you practical advice, how to implement them into your training!
--Overview-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here a short overview about the different sections and topics in the video:
0:00 Introduction
0:32 #1 Better Footwork
3:59 #2 More Power
7:39 #3 Faster Cognition
11:20 Outro
--Links-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here you can find all the things I mentioned in the video:Split Step Tutporial: • Explosive Start and Sp... Landing and fast Recovery: • Landing and Recovery: ... Advanced Footwork Tutorial: • Footwork like Lee Chon... BWF Study about Anticipation: development.bwfbadminton.com/...
--Practical Sessions at home-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I also have several Footwork Follow Along Tutorials that will help you to improve your technique and they can also be done at home with little space:15 Min Fast Footwork Session | Badminton At Home: • 15 Min Fast Footwork S... 10 Min Smooth Badminton Footwork | At home: • 10 Min Smooth Badminto... 15 Min Basic Footwork Session At Home | Beginner Friendly: • 15 Min Basic Footwork ... 30 Min Badminton Footwork Session At Home | LIVE: • 30 Min Badminton Footw...
--Power and Strength Training-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mentioned it in the video already, but I want to point it out again: Power and Strength Training with heavy weights is not something you can just try out, but you need a proper technique and you have to build up your body for it for a longer period of time. If you want to dive into that topic see if you can find a coach, that will help you to get there without the risk of any severe injuries!

Aloha Coach Tobias, thank you, speed is result of footwork, strength, and anticipation. So true. You provide a blueprint to work toward developing these basic factors. Each provides a huge advantage over opponents. Time spent working on them pays incredible dividends. Great analysis, wishing you the best and stay well.

@@tobiaswadenka8435 thanks Tobias. What I meant was some of the tips such as: least number of steps to reach the shuttle, move on toes (not heels) are effective as friction wastes energy. So every additional step makes one that much slower to reach the shuttle.
