This song hits close I'm 37, in 2019, same year Toby lost Tru, I lost my Dad, but I still believe in that Promised Land, I'm still grieving, in my own way, and I love life, I just miss my Dad so much, for the 3rd Thanksgiving without him, it's hard. I love the Holidays and all, but, other than celebrating Jesus' birthday on Christmas Day, I really feel like these holidays are just another day to me, thank you to Toby for still doing his thing, it helps so many people, I do believe in a promised land, one day, I'll see my Dad again.

Jason, I am wee bit older than you are. I too had a tramtic year not to long ago. I lost a sibling, 2 more relatives and my dad all in less than 10 months. Oh, I was down and hurting. My mother left us 4 days before Christmas in 2020... Talking about not "feeling" the holidays. But, as I was in prayer one day..God busted through all of that sadness with a very short question, and I pass it along to you. You talk it over in your prayers, with God. It was- Do you think they are sad right now? 🤔😮 I will leave it right there. God Bless.

Jason and K.P. may God show you His unfailing love today. Peace over your weary hearts. I have been through almost both of these losses you both have written about. All I can say is that our Father in heaven knows all of us and loves each of us so deeply. So, that was His way of telling me that it is OK to rejoice and be happy, again. They are not sad, neither should I be. God Bless! 🥰🥰

@@k.p.1139 Thank you, I was very much lost feeling when he passed in June of 2019, I didn't do anything, stayed in bed all day, up all night, bed all day, up all night, etc.... When the pandemic hit, idk, I kind of started to feel like I was healing in a way, but I still miss my Dad, always will. And yes they're in a better place, no more hurting, no suffering, just love, and happiness.

Today, 23 years ago, my mom died. One of the last things I said to her was that I needed to raise my kids who were 5 and 3. I told her I had to live my life but one day I would see her in Heaven. To me it would be a lifetime, but to her in Heaven with God it would seem like no time at all. God has been good to us and I know He is our promise land. Yes, I miss mom so much but I smile when I think of her in Heaven with the Lord.

He clearly has reading fron the bible. 1 Cor 12:12-27 We are so parts of one body. Don't try to cut off your noise just to spite your face. Hang in there. All of us have blind spots, and he will come back for a church without spite or wrinkle. Now without saying the name "Jesus" you know of whom I speak. The devil wants to turn us against each other. The man is still a Jesus Freak. He's just mellowed and the Lord has him singing about being a soldier for Christ in the trenches. Chris Tonkin is the one who gets to lead us into the Holy of Holies. The appostle Paul was in prison and his friends wrote him saying false believers were preaching in the name of Jesus. Paul replied that it was important that Christ was preached even if it was from jelousy or rivelry. He said they should give up their plans to stop the odd man from preaching. Deep

I'm incredibly sorry for your deep loss. I know heavy grief unfortunately too. We lost our 2 youngest children, Noah age 7 & Sophia age 5 in 2017. Awful, so unnatural to bury your own children. I have started a channel for grief & encouragement, grief support. Sharing my experience as a grieving mother. So much loss in our world. We all grieve many sizes of loss. We grieve relationship losses, job losses, homes, and of course, our special loved ones most dearly. We grieve hard cuz we love hard. If love is holy then grief is holy too. Praise God for you and your music 🎶 🙌 I lost my husband 7 years ago and I have struggled through grief terribly. Shortly after he passed away I was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disease's the worst being Lupus and Sjogrens disease. 11 months ago I had to have a full mouth extraction with jaw bone grafting due to Sjogrens and I still face more reconstruction that is nearly $47,000.00 but I am Faithful through all of this because I am a Prayer Warrior and I will continue to fight until God brings me to the PROMISE LAND 🙏💜💪 AMEN AND AMEN

On sept. 2020 i fell in a coma and found a huge tumor in my brain.Today its been a year that I can walk on my own.God did a miracle on me!Praise God!There are many things i cannot do yet,but I can walk!Im still walking to that Promised Land!

God is GOOD. I'm 20 years past having a large tumor removed from the center of my brain, in all four quadrants. I've gone from going day after day, for years, losing all memory of the previous day as I went to sleep... To now raising my 9 y/o granddaughter, and doing all that entails... Memories 80% in tact. God healed me, restored me to being nearly 100%... I am a walking miracle. Praying for your recovery, and that His grace is sufficient. Hold fast to faith in His plan, His healing, His never ending love for you!

This is so beautiful and I never thought about this before, while we walk with God on this earth and go through trials and pain and wait for God to fulfill our prayers and promises we forget that at the end of the day going home to be with God is actually the real promised land.

Love this!!! Jesus IS our promised land!!! For years I wondered “what my promised land” was, until not too long ago God revealed to me that “JESUS IS MY PROMISED LAND.” When we Abide in Christ, we are resting in HIS promised land of abundance (remember the fruit the 12 spies brought back from the promised land in Numbers 13?). That massive cluster of grapes represents OUR life as we ABIDE IN CHRIST (John 15:1-7). I used to think that “my promised land” was some ministry that God would one day use me in, but He made it clear to me that JESUS IS my promised land, not a ministry. Thank you Toby Mac for another home run!

Love how you're Bridging the path for the Youth with your style. We listen to all sorts of God Music and I even write lyrics, but the way you put things together for ALL is a wonderful treat to see/hear.
