I believe that 16 is the magic number. That would leave you with space for either a few more of the lesser used Runick Spells or maybe none once per turn hand traps like Veiler, Crow or whatever.

This actually the one runick variant id play, i like the idea of running 2 conflicting engines on paper. Stalling your opponent then OTK in a single BP is the 1 thing other variants can't do which is what made Runick balanced. Super Toxic👌

I was using Tenpai as my Centur-Ion side deck at the last regional I played in. Centur-Ion is super strong going 1st and it's okay going 2nd. Tenpai is amazing going 2nd and is... mediocre going 1st.

I know this deck is a meme, but I would rather play runick stun going first and then smokescreen into tenpai. You opponent is never gonna see it coming and they are most likely going to want you to go second game two (if you win game 1) and even if you lose, you will choose second anyways and play tenpai. They will side in backrow hate and you will laugh. good meme

If you don't have Trident, you can "Try to play Tenpai", but don't expect anything above rogue.

You just can't Prosperity and shifter the win without it. Deck does plenty of damage without it. It comes up like 1 in 10 games for me

@@stonalisa3729 Trident is essential if the opponent has a board set which you don't manage to clear before entering BP. Indestructible monsters (by battle) and big walls will only be passed with resources, while Trident allows you to use less cards. I feel like trident comes every other match at least once for me. It also heavily depends on the competition of course.

He basically just did well with a version of Tenpai that plays Offerings to the Doomed and Forbidden Chalice rather than hand-traps 10-16. Pretty believable for a locals.
