Hoda Kotb expresses how she has "great love and admiration for Kelly Rowland" after it was reported that the Destiny's Child star had been set to cohost Today last week but exited suddenly. Kelly Rowland has not personally commented on the situation yet, but appeared on Sherri Shepherd’s show and thanked her for giving her a “safe space.”

Maybe it wasn’t just the dressing room itself, maybe it’s how things were handled. There’s a lot of things and people they deal with behind the scenes that maybe Hoda herself might not be fully aware of. We really don’t know…what I do know is that Kelly has been in the industry for 20+ years with a good reputation so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. She probably had a valid reason to leave the set.

Probably. I also wonder if these big news stations cannot show all of their guests/guest hosts the same level of appreciation? Have tasteful dressing rooms for everyone? Is it possible they believe that some of their guest less important to their programme? I don't know.@@HH-gv8mx

I think we all know how the entertainment industry can be towards certain people. I think we all know that Kelly Rowland is not going to leave because of anything trivial. Those who want to believe that...need to do introspective work to understand why they feel the need to believe the worst about someone who has always displayed the best in character and spirit. I have no doubt that the Today show mis-stepped in some way, gaslit Kelly in the process, and then expected her to be desperate enough to put up with it. Isn't that how the entertainment industry works, especially for women? But if we had more people willing to walk away when disrespect occurs, much of the abuse being reported would not happen. Everyone has a right to determine what is a boundary for themselves. If you knowingly cross a boundary then I always have a right to decide I don't want to participate. The idea that she should just be grateful is pre-historic. I believe women and especially black women are becoming sick of that narrative. And we have the POWER within to say, NO. The industry has a bullying tactic of trying to paint you as difficult anytime you stand up for yourself. Look at all the women abused in Hollywood as a result. If you let people "do you" over an interview focused on Beyonce, a dressing room that you did not supply as promised, or whatever may have actually happened...then they will try it in other ways as well. I am actually proud of Kelly for walking away no matter what the reason because it shows that Artists don't have to be so desperate for an opportunity that they are willing to be disrespected. I say, enough is enough. You teach people how to treat you, 100%, every time. How the Today show and Hoda handled this...says alot about them. Also, isn't this the same network that mishandled Tamron Hall??? LOL...these people and their shenanigans...it's so narcissistic to act like they don't know why she left and that it was over a dressing room...you must be mature & sharp enough to know it wasn't that simple or that at all. Some type of contractual agreement was breeched on their end; they felt because they were the "Today" show that she should just shut up and let it go. NOPE. That is not what we are doing in 2024 and beyond. We are holding decision makers in Hollywood accountable. Period.

I think the best to repair all our judgments , Mrs. Kelly Rowland should say her side of the story. I don't think it had anything to do with a dressing room.
