Since you guys preferred some quality cooking, I dove into the Nouvelles archetype and came up with some spicy (and not so spicy) combos. Enjoy the ride et bon appetit!

Btw, do keep in mind that the first 3 main Nouvelles combos may also be performed by the other versions. So even if you are only interested in one of the variants, I strongly suggest looking that the 'pure' combos as well!

The Nouvelles archetype is awesome when pulled off, but does suffer from the same weakness all Ritual decks face... hand traps. Ritual decks are notoriously weak against hand traps and often lack the resources to combat them as there are no (as far as I know) 1 card combos for Ritual decks. Nevertheless, nothing gives a better reward than finishing people off by throwing a good old Burger to the face, so we at least got that to enjoy!

Disclaimer for these Basics guides:
1) We pretend that only have the cards in the starters or searchers header in our hand and no other cards.
2) We will ignore the opponents' hand, unless we need them to do something to show parts of our combo.
3) The searchers specified will be able to kick-start the combo by fetching starters. It is possible we use search cards later in the combo that aren't specified in the searchers at the start.
4) The presented decklist may vary from the used list in the combo tutorial, as for the tutorial we want to increase the odds of pulling the combo off.
5) The presented decklists are taking the meta into account but are often different in hindsight. Also, certain cards (especially hand traps) can be easily switched out based on preference or meta relevancy.
The YuGiOh! Basics Series is a series of videos where we elaborately walk through different combo lines and combo strategies for different decks so you can learn how to win. Aiming to inform beginners of the deck, or just beginners to YuGiOh! in general and we perform these combos in Konami's YuGiOh! Master Duel, even though most combos work fine in the OCG/TCG too. We're hoping that these guides will give you the confidence of playing with a tier 0 deck, even though it is ranked slightly (or vastly) below that and not, as Seto Kaiba had put it, be a third rate duelist with a forth rate deck. Be as Yugi Moto, play, learn and believe in the heart of the cards and beat the Master Duel Meta!

You have to be careful with the third combo, you do end up with the same board but way weaker. Balameunière effetc is a quick effect ONLY if you summon it by using a Nouvelles monster effect. So you only have whatever I:P can get.

I misplayed and learned about that lvl 5 not being a quick effect if it didn't use a Nouvelles as mat for its summon. I lost the game too 😆

Yeah, pretty much. Preferably summoned by another Nouvelles, so that its tribute effect is a quick effect.

I will die on the hill that Nouvelles is way better than people give it credit for, great vid! I usually I:P in to Dyna Mondo since it can play a similar role to the Knightmares AND revive properly-Summoned Rituals during the opponent's turn, but these plays aren't too shabby either!

They are strong, but have similar weaknesses that all Ritual decks have, they don't have 1 card combos (yet). For Nouvelles specific, their ritual summon recipes can be Ash'd, which sucks, and just generally they tend to be weak to most hand traps (Nib, Ash, Imperm, Shifter). But when you get to their end board, they are near unstoppable. I:P in Dyna Mundo works great for now, but you will certainly want to go into S:P Little Knight when it gets out (rumoured to be next month). Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by their ease of use and their overall power. But I can also see why they are not among the best decks (which I don't really care about, I just want to smack a Hungry Burger in peoples face).

also the fact that the level 4 can recycle the dyna mondo to be played again. then if the level 4 was properly summoned the dyna mondo can revive it, creating a constant loop.

@totalpartykill999 Oh, totally. For that reason and more Foie Glasya's a good tech for the deck. Maybe not the best card there but by no means one to ignore entirely.

great tutorial, 1 thing i'd like to note: if you running dogmatika engine, prepare for the brick because if you draw Fleurdelis or Maximus, it will be your hard brick. The dogmatika engine start only with Nadir Servant which is now limited 2 on MD. And in case you can't draw Nadir Servant, the dogmatika engine is useless, which don't present in the video. Or should I say both combo of Dogmatika line in this video is start with Nadir Servant. The video didn't show you what to do if you draw other dogmatika on your starting hand. => So I'll say Dogmatika is not a good choice to combine with Nouvelles.

Thanks, and I fully agree. Dogmatika is a brickfest, and only fun if it starts rolling. For a better Dogmatika list/combo, go for the anti extra deck Iblee build (I have a vid on that too, but it suffers from some bricking there too - and hand traps obviously). But, I did this video upon a request (people wanted to see which combos you can make with Dogmatika), so I made that possible. From all the variants presented, I like the 'pure' version the most, closely followed by the Libromancer build.

Had the same experience. Or when there was a little Nouvelles on the field, that it triggers on targeting effects 😅. Oh well, we are famously known for not reading.
