Phantom Knights have been around since the start of Master Duel and joined the TCG and OCG in the set Wing Raiders in 2015/2016. A fan favourite as it is played by Yuto in the anime. But does it still hold up in the current meta..? Well I think they do.
PK's are strong when they are able to set up their graveyard (so when Bystials are absent) and have near limitless recursion. They are extremely flexible in their builds, able to be combined with Destiny Hero (DPE), Adventure, Danger! and many more. Most of them we'll highlight in this video. Also, you are able to play 40-45 cards main deck or go for the full 60. The world is really your oister.

P.s. after a 9 month wait we received a new little grub, so expect my upload schedule to be irregular and less often. Juggling 2 little grubs, a full time job, and YT is quite hard. We're doing fine though :)

Disclaimer for these Basics guides:
1) We pretend that only have the cards in the starters or searchers header in our hand and no other cards.
2) We will ignore the opponents' hand, unless we need them to do something to show parts of our combo.
3) The searchers specified will be able to kick-start the combo by fetching starters. It is possible we use search cards later in the combo that aren't specified in the searchers at the start.
4) The presented decklist may vary from the used list in the combo tutorial, as for the tutorial we want to increase the odds of pulling the combo off.
5) The presented decklists are taking the meta into account but are often different in hindsight. Also, certain cards (especially hand traps) can be easily switched out based on preference or meta relevancy.
The YuGiOh! Basics Series is a series of videos where we elaborately walk through different combo lines and combo strategies for different decks so you can learn how to win. Aiming to inform beginners of the deck, or just beginners to YuGiOh! in general and we perform these combos in Konami's YuGiOh! Master Duel, even though most combos work fine in the OCG/TCG too. We're hoping that these guides will give you the confidence of playing with a tier 0 deck, even though it is ranked slightly (or vastly) below that and not, as Seto Kaiba had put it, be a third rate duelist with a forth rate deck. Be as Yugi Moto, play, learn and believe in the heart of the cards and beat the Master Duel Meta!

Another trick as a PK main if you dont wanna spend a break sword is have torn scale and cloak in the graveyard. Banish cloak to search stained greaves then special summon scales from the graveyard which triggers greaves ability to SS itself and change its level to 4 and use rusty to send boots to the grave to set shade. Activate shade and xyz into rebellion. Banish boots for a RUM card. And continue going with torn scale for utopic future or I:P.

I 100% agree! It is up to the user whether they want to free up the extra deck space (as without Stained Greaves, you will need to run at least 2 Break Swords) or the main deck space. I have often opted for the latter, but your option of running Greaves might be better!

Bro im new to master duel and am using adv dpe and horus with pk as my first deck and horus is so fun to use as i can easily get zombie vampire out but i couldnt done any combos without this vid so much love❤

i play PK with branded and the armor xyz engine as 1 tour guide or 1 speedroid terrortop+normal summon is a non target banish, fuse with any dark on their field and a suck+2 fog blades

Definitely a great choice. The Full Armor package wasn't out at the time of recording, but works great. And Branded often works well with any Dark deck, but hasn't been utilized that often with PK, so kudos to making it work! Always love to hear about the creativity of this community!

Sadly no. Rusty cannot be used as link material at all. So annoying.

@@cognitivegrub0 Yes i saw that , but now i using isold mikanko to get into magia ^^ more appalosa and silent swords man so , by the way technical question If my oppenent use TTT to target magia can magia negate the activation of TTT ? i m asking cause he negate the activation and not the effect :)

@@ryoto1635 TTT reads: "If your opponent has activated a monster effect during your Main Phase this turn: Activate 1 of these effects;...". So you can negate TTT upon activation. However, if you let that one slide, the opponent is free to choose one of the three TTT options and take your Magia. TLDR for TTT, it will first be activated before choosing an option, and can therefore be negated upon activation.

Is it better with raidraptor to Go 2 ? Go 1 ok gut Go 2 for snake Le other decks is different with Phantom . i think vanish is better for dat

That sounds interesting. Still a bit upset about Instant Fusion being banned for the Predaplants (it was such a good card for the deck, not broken as it was for Tears). Might try it in the future.

That is so heavily dependent on your hand that I rarely do more than 2.5 card combos. The different variants are then dependent on which build you have (hence that I've included the simplest combo lines for each variant). For the best end boards, you are going to have to watch gameplay videos.

Mostly you will want to end with DPE/Scythe unless you are against something that doesn't use Extra that much like Labrynth tho i never found an answer against Labrynth 😅

@@darkerrex1442 Well, I've played this deck also during the recent Duelist Cup (uploaded a vid about that recently) and found PK's to perform rather well against Lab. Especially DPE's grind game will hurt them. I won most, if not all, Lab games. Almost exclusively lost against Snake-Eyes.

is there a need to have break sword at 2 if i dont have the requiem pakage?

Not a need, but you strongly prefer to have Break Sword during the turn you want to go in for the kill (as it is a great board clearer). So I strongly suggest going for 2-3 rank 3 XYZ's with Leviair and Break Sword. I prefer 2 Break Swords, others have prefered 2 Leviair's. Howewer, 1 of each will work, it will just perform poorer in the grind game. P.s. using Break Sword going first is so that your PK's do not get banished when summoned by their own (Torn Scales) or a PK trap's effect, so you can use them again on your next turn.

In the last section we go over how to build PK's. In short, grab the PK core, grab some other engines (details are in the vid), put in ~33% hand traps (around 13 for a 40 card deck, around 20 for a 60 card deck), fill it with generic extra deck staples and start playing. I've also put an example decklist near the end and in the description. Hope this helps!

These are all pretty basic combos, but since people like variety in their builds, these are the most common combo paths. However I think that 7 basic combos (in this case between 1 and 2+discard card combos) for a well-known combo deck isn't showing off (going full ham with 3 to 5 starting cards is showing off in my opinion, as these starting hands are often hard to come by - but to each there own). This video will give you a nice starting point with the deck, nicer than when only 1 or 2 combos are shown. But I'll take the showing off part as a complement.

@@cognitivegrub0 i mean what if you Go second ? In your vids you only Go first what do you play against a full Combo snake Board? Is there a Option vor raidraptor? Or better Go 2 with vanish soul

@@MgMg-xm4qj That's where our non-engine (hand traps/board breakers) come in. With my build you have a 83.5% to open at least 1, and 45% to open 2 non-engine. Use these hand traps to prevent them building the ideal board and overpower them with yours going second. Regarding PK's, I think for going second, a 60 card build with around 20 non-engine might word better. As those builds tend to have more gas and might be better to play through interrupts. Haven't tested that though. PK's do have ways to OTK well with Accesscode and Arc Rebellion XYZ Dragon (for when there is a low ATK monster around on the opponents field). P.s. I am only showing going first because I want to show combos in a controlled environment with a little to no variables. Gameplay videos are better to watch to see what happens in real games.
