Literally a good video! Justin, on the south side in the middle 4 feet out there is a fishing hole. I know Todd didnt tell you about.

Tubed trees are the way to go!!! All the trees I’ve planted with tubes look great!! I always prune them 1 time a year in Feb!

We planted 250 trees/shrubs on our property in Central PA. Most are all tubed. Some have made it so far and some havent.

On the tree tubes I personally started with rebar. I found that when the wind blows hard enough it will bend and stay bent. Now the rebar swivels in at the bend at ground. Also the tube will eventually slide down. Killing the tree. I went to fiberglass from Plantera. I also drill a small hole near the top of the stake. This allows you to slide a wire thru the hole. netting for the top, and the tube. It prevents the tube from sliding down the stake. Keep the paperwasp out of the tubes also. They like nibbling the new growth off. Hope my five journey helps.. God Bless

Here in WI, you have to make sure the crown of the tree is ABOVE the tube. Japanese beetles go into the tube, eat all the foliage, attract more beetles, because they won't fly out, then the tree dies. Japanese beetles are merciless, besides the bucks rubbing.

Those dam beetle, I have started to see them showing up. I will keep an eye on that. It’s even hard to be a tree nowadays.😵‍💫

My only complaints with the tree tubes in the amount of blue birds that I’ve found dead in the bottoms of them. They get stuck and die. The trees definitely benefit from them though.
