I agree. We can’t just assume I was sex.

The Bible clearly says it was a messenger of Satan.

This was an opposition Paul faced every time he preached. He was a successful preacher, but he was resisted almost every time even though, God sent him.

He didn't say women deliver men from lust. He is saying don't give the devil a foothold in your relationship. When you prohibit partners from what a husband and wife should be doing you are opening a door for the enemy to attack. It not always cheating, its also fights arguments, and irritation... Most men of God fall because of the conflict in their own house.
