How does this woman get the possibility of parole? I truly - truly - don't understand. You have to be pure evil to execute this murder and traumatize two children like that. This is one of the most evil stories I've heard in a while.

That poor woman. She was fighting to regain custody of her son and save him from his vile stepmother. Meanwhile, he was being manipulated into participating in her demise. Hopefully she is at peace. It will take a lot of work for her children to be 😢

I definitely have a lot of empathy for kids who experience parental alienation and are manipulated into doing such horrible acts. My dad alienated my from my mom and although I don’t think I would have ever gone as far as harming her, i do know how it is like to be manipulated into doing things outside of what I would consider moral.

We've never heard why the father, Terry Sr., was never informed by his kids about Kimberly's threats and viscous behavior. You would think that the kids could trust their father to help them. It really feels like there must have been some animosity toward LeeAnn from her kids in order for Kimberly to be able to get them to comply with her devious plans. Again, how could the father be so out of touch with the rest of his family to allow this to happen to his ex-wife and kids?

People don't realize how powerful mind control is. His stepmom was a Narscissist so a lot of manipulation, gaslighting, berating, threats and various punishments we're mixed with trauma bonding. Often when people get away from a Narscissist relationship they see ways they acted that they're ashamed of. The same happens when people leave a cult and start healing.

I have started watching Dr. Grande at night because his voice is comforting to me. I've fallen asleep several times while listening. Kinda strange, I know, but I appreciate the zzz's!!

I've said it before....as a child who was severely abused.....I don't think most people understand how worn down and terrified children become after suffering months or years of abuse. I can tell you that Terry Jr at 15, and most other abused children, myself included, would not have gone to the authorities under any circumstances. Judges are notorious for not believing children and letting the abusive parent return home to become even more abusive than before. It's a vicious cycle that very seldom ever gets better. As a victim, and now a victim advocate, I see it repeatedly. It may be hard for some to understand because today very young children are expected to act like adults, and they are charged and tried as adults in court which is beyond ridiculous. At 15 years old I would have long known better than to open my mouth to anyone for help. Either I, or my younger sister, would have paid a terrible price. As usual.....my question is.....where was Super Father who took his children from their mother just to let his vile and violent second wife carry out her abuse right under his nose? Give me a break.

How was the husband so unaware of her character.

Greetings - isn't this just horrific - the depth of jealousy, hatred and greed - that 15-year-old boy needs so much counseling as well as his sister - without reading the case inside out and interviewing the boy, I can't come to terms with what happened or what form of punishment/counseling is even in order. Prayers for these children/young adults.

Dr. Grande, I can easily relate to this sad story as when my parents were going through a divorce around this time in 2004. My mother was diagnosed with BPD and had this sort of psychological control over my younger sister and tried to do so with me to turn against my step-mother who actually & truthfully adored me as her own son. My own mother despised my step-mom and even tried to use me into committing her own dirty wetwork to get rid of my stepmother and even lie in court about my father as a way to take me away from my father who is a big teddy bear. TL:DR: My psychotic mother tried to use my disability to murder my step-mom in order to gain custody of me, despite my personal decision to live with my dad because I'm honestly afraid of my mother's sexual & psychological abuse that she committed on me in her care.

Expecting so much out of an abused child is ridiculous. Terry Jr. should not have been convicted of a crime. At 15 it is extremely difficult to stand up to someone you see as having so much power.

Kimberly got her just deserts. She will never see freedom again in her pathetic life. It is sad that the state has to feed her when innocent homeless people do not get 3 meals a day or a roof over their heads and free health care. This is why I am a firm believer in capital punishment .life is NOT a dress rehearsal , you only get one go at it and she robbed a poor woman of her's. I wish her (Kimberly) nothing but misery for the rest of her life.

Yea Terry had too many opportunities to save his mom, even at 15 it would be expected to know this. But I'm so glad that all the divorced people I know have good relationships with their ex's and are supportive of each other, one couple still goes on vacation together with their kids!

Had the father actually given a damn about his children, he may not have messed everything up with his relationships as badly as he had. The marble firm being the holy grail of the characters involved, must have become somewhat tarnished after such a horrific scandal.

Kimberly could have also offered drugs to her stepchildren. The actions of Terry Jr. seem too extreme for him to have been sober.

I watch all your videos, and its quite alarming how many evil, insane, people are from the Tennessee, and Alabama areas! I live in Alabama, and noticed this not long ago.

Your videos are usually about messed up cases, but your mellow tone makes it easy to listen to n relaxing.

Thank you Dr Grande for another report on a horrible event. This wasn't an easy one but your deadpan quips lift the tension when I start to get very angry at the perpetrator/s. What a horrible woman. I'm glad that she made enough errors to be found out and punished. My heart aches for the children who had obviously been living with this awful person for far too long because it seems to ne that she had possibly treated the children, and maybe even their father, sadistically for a very long time. There's a lot more to this story than we will know unless the children write a book. It concerns me that the father didn't report the events but I know of very strong men who live in fear of what their intimate partner will do to them if they break ranks! It's beyond my comprehension but I know it to be the case. The tiniest little woman can hold a man "hostage" and treat him abominably. Much of the problem is unresponsive Law Enforcement when it comes to female on male domestic abuse. A man reports the behaviour, is ignored and sent home, only to receive more punishment for reporting the abuse. Just my opinion, not making a diagnosis! 🤔🤔

I’d still have given the son more leniency; he was subjected to significant abuse and control. Being forced to kill your own mother is punishment enough. He definitely needed intervention, but I think those eight years would have been better spent in treatment.

Dr. Grande, you should do a video on the woman who freaked out on the American Airlines flight. There’s not a whole lot of information but I’m very interested in the theories surrounding the incident. She screamed that a man on the plane was “not real” no one knows who she was referring to and she hasn’t been interviewed since. There’s a video that exists that states it’s all over earbuds, others state it’s over a guy in a green hoodie, but some speculate she was next to a shape-shifter or “reptilian person”. There was a similar incident on RyanAir with a man who suddenly becomes genuinely scared of something, I don’t think he has been heard from since either.

I would love to hear your opinion of Michael Burham, who murdered his girlfriend, ran and kidnapped 2 elderly people and forced them to drive him states away.. he was eventually caught but escaped via the old "tie the bedsheets together" method.. he's still on the run! He apparently broke into someones home, killing their dog and stealing their clothing! Please cover this, eventually.. I'm so curious to hear your opinion and it's quite a case! I'm quite shocked we haven't heard more about this!!

Well done for explaining how abusive adults seem 'invincible' to the children they are 'bringing up'. The way I put it, it's as if my biological mother was Godzilla. Litterally so when I was a toddler or a baby, because of the difference of size. Even after I'd reached my adult height, she still weighed 20-25 kilos more than me, was physically much stronger, and extremely violent.

This took me back to the hell hole I endured as a child and can understand why Terry Jr. did not dare make a move against his step-mom to save his mother or himself. There is a level of fear that runs deep and solid enough to keep a person forever frozen, as in Fight Flight or Freeze. I can't hope he gets the help he needs because I know what an impossible reality that is in the USA if you don't have loads of disposable income.
