Thanks just did this on my son he is also mixed but his hair is more finer with loose curls but it still came out really nice thanks for the inspo we are going to a sneaker ball for Valentines 2024 ❤

Love the videos. How long do you keep this kind of style in? And for sleep do y’all do a bonnet? TIA

Thank you! I usually leave something like this in for two weeks (unless I need to record then it's out in a week lol) but depending on your little one's hair texture you could get 2-3 weeks out of this style. We use just use our satin pillowcase at night time, but a bonnet does work too! A durag doesn't help too much with styles like this cause you'll get creasing in the strands and that just makes the style look weird and won't last long. Hope this helps! 💙

You’re welcome 💙 glad to hear, practice makes perfect - you’ve got this! This style could last a week or 3-4 weeks depending on how well he’ll let you protect his hair during sleep and play. Also, depends on if his hair flakes quickly, if his hair gets frizzy quick. Using something like the Shine n Jam should help with maintaining longevity of the style.

@@caseyrose2787 I use a durag on his hair at night and during the day too when he’s playing, but I also use (and you can use only this if your child prefers) a silk pillow case. I love the pillowcase because if the durag comes off or they take it off during their sleep, you don’t have to worry about their hair getting messy! Hope this helps 💙

Kham just turned three but I started when he was about a year old but I wasn’t doing too many braided styles then just easy quick little styles to keep his hair out of his way and stuff. All depends on how much hair your little one has, you may start a little earlier or a little later. Thanks for watching 💙

Yes I trim my little boys hair every 3 to 6 months. The product your using I don't see a link for it.

Hi all, just looking for some advice 😅. I have a 1 year old and his hair is quite long. I have been trying to braid it but he keeps moving his head, I’ve never done anyone’s hair before and find it difficult already as it is. My question is what can i do to keep him distracted? Normally I put him in his high chair.

Heyy 👋🏽 at his age it is a little difficult to get them to stay still but you're off to a good start by putting him in his high chair, I used to do the same thing. I would also say a snack or at doing his hair at a meal time, is also helpful. I'm not sure what your rules are on screen time but a show or game (we use this time mostly for educational shows and games) could also keep him distracted enough to stay while you do his hair (or even his fave toys; n but you run the risk that he'll just want to play and may even move more lol) You could also try braiding his hair while he sleeps (I haven't tried this myself but it's been recommend to me and I think it's a greaaaat way to get it done quickly). Hopefully this helps! Let me know how it goes 💙

Hey! Yes, that's just plain old extra virgin olive oil that I used in his hair.

Definitely will. You can either make the parts larger so the twist is thicker or you can just keep them thin and have thin twists. It’ll look good either way! 🤞🏽💙
