Girl! Do the backsplash! Make sure the wall is flush, use a grinder for odd cuts if you don’t have a large wet saw (the little wet saws can be super annoying and cover you in water- do not use either in the house- loud loud loud) use tile adhesive, a small v-notched trowel- check the countertop for level- get shims for under the bottom tiles and spacers for between (possibly multiple sizes if you’re using matted tile sheets) thin layer of the adhesive on the wall and work you way up- behind the stove screw a ledger board into place (the extra trim from Avery’s wall wil work great) so the tiles don’t slide down during drying process. Grout the next day or whenever you’re ready, clear glue from between tiles and caulk the bottom along the couter, top along cabinetry and grout corners. You can grout between bottom of tile and counter but they have color match caulking and silicones.

Put fresh cabbage leaves on the boob that has mastitis and it will draw it out. When my oldest was in ICU at a week old and I couldn’t feed him I got mastitis and the dr went and got me cabbage leaves and it was cleared up in 24 hours. Just change the leaves every 2 hours

Lmao… when Ella said “Avie have my carpet!”

I woke up the other night a week or so ago, and had a red rash, pretty sure it was mastitis… or clogged duct, one thing to try is taking sunflower lethicin, basically it’s a capsule you take, it loosens up the fats in your milk, which is what kind of causes the clogs and helps it get flowing again. So if you try and take one a day (I’ve heard moms who take several a day until the clog is gone, but the recommended dose is one a day) and try the other things that you’ve already done it may help the other methods be more affective in taking away the clog. Also there are apparently natural things you can take that sort of work like an antibiotic in your body if you don’t want to get antibiotics at the doctors. I have not tried these yet but if I do get mastitis again I will try them (raw garlic is one and oregano oil is another, but look up how to use and whether it affects/ is safe with breastfeeding, pretty sure raw garlic wouldn’t hurt). I had a horrible reaction to the antibiotics they prescribed to me when I got mastitis with my last baby so I want to avoid that at all costs if I can. Best of luck.

I really love your house & everything your doing to make it your own. In Avys room I think it wou lk d be cute if you painted every other square a different pink..like the pink that is already there then the other pink on the next square, so every other square is the other pink cor you had. So basically just two pink colors total. Just a suggestion. I do also love it the way it is. By the time I fineally got my own house to decorate any way I want, I had already had 4 back surgeries so I wasn't able to decorate like I really wanted to. ☹ But I still love my house and so do my kids & grandkids who were able to grow up here. My youngest who is now 22 will be moving out in July (I'm so sad about it, but I'm not letting him know how sad because I want to be super supportive) buuut my 17 yr old grandaughter is moving in & that really helps my empty nest🥰🌞✌🌺🌻💖💖💖

For your mastitis try using the lansinoh therapearl 3in1 breast therapy pads. I had the early signs of mastitis and I started using that. It has helped me. Hopefully this helps you. Good luck. 💖 I love avrey room too it came out so cute 🥰

Tip for mastitis.. hotish bath, all fours and let your milk flow. This is not a spectator sport!!! Helped me years ago but contact nurse/docs to be on the safe side. Room looks gorgeous.

Definitely don’t wait to long with mastitis! I had it with my second baby and it got so bad that I was admitted into the hospital for 5 days and almost had to have surgery. They said it was the worst they had seen! It was beyond scary

Pro tip from someone who has had mastitis 2 times in the last 6 months. The only thing I can get to unclog is using a massage gun which is littetally the most painful thing ever but its the only thing I can find to get it out!

When you nurse are you massaging the side that hurts in a downward motion towards your nipple? Another thing that works is applying a hot rag and or heating pad to the clogged milk duct and using the haaka at the same time. I think you said you filled the haaka with hot water and Epsom salt, but did you also bend forward(soaking your nipple) and massage in a circular motion moving down to the nipple? If your mastitis doesn't resolve within 72 hrs you really should go see your Dr. Hopefully you figured it out and you're feeling better.
