U are allowed to walk around rapids that have log jams in them it's in the terms and conditions for being a whitewater canoeist you probably just clicked accept and didn't read the fine print

I find this video to be very remarkable. Would you care to comment about rivers and rapids these are on ?

William Ashton, true dat hommie. What would a good slot be without a big ol' log jammed in the sequence! Just keep it wet it goes!

Hey Erik, as i think you are one of the strongest C1 paddlers in the world i have a question for you 'you surely are more than qualified to answer: what would happen if you were to pick up a regular double sided paddle like we kayakers use? would that work? and if not can you explain why not?

as an obligate kneeling tgripper, I can tell you that -for me- in whitewater, I am unable to use that second blade. In fact I find it gets in the way of what I understand. They're great for eating flat water miles in a long open canoe, but every time I've tried a double blade on the fun stuff, the offside blade clipped waves and tripped me up. But I'm happy with my half-paddle handicaps ;) cheers! PS I can't and won't speak for anyone else. all my paddle buddies are butt-boaters and I love them ALL
