To be honest, I would give the second round to Toe disciple, he was more controlled and seems to have a more solid foundation here. But the first one was clearly Draem. but I think he gets ahead of himself.

Why is everyone saying toe disciple won? He's good but he needs to do other moves besides toe stalls and kickstands. Dra'em has more variation in his style, different tempos, switching between wavy and stiff movements, wordplay etc. I will say the crowd hype is disproportionate tho. They made the margin of victory seem way bigger than it actually was

@@NorthMSBashEnt I've been following Jookin since 2017. You weren't better than Dra'em back then and you're definitely not better than him now. It's no hate to your style because you can dance, but if you 60% of your round is a toe stall into a kickstand you can't be upset that you lost.

I've noticed with this particular group that they seem to go out of their way to hype each other up. So sometimes it seems a little exaggerated to me... But if you're talking about jookin in general, then you're on your own lol. It's a dance that comes from the heart, so it helps if you have soul.

I Guess So I’ve been a dancer all my life and some times I come across dance styles that are new 2 me and I try 2 pay attention in order 2 figure out what the dance is about. I can’t grasp this one yet tho and I really wanna know. For example I’m from Chicago we’re “footworkin” was created and I know that I could explain 2 someone completely unfamiliar what make a good dancer or the reasons the crowd reacts 2 certain movements. Just lookin 4 insight. When I 1st saw “crumpin” many years ago I had no clue what I was looking at until I saw the documentary explaining it then it made perfect sense.

@@jonsamuels9245 Jon Samuels i feel you... jookin started in the 80s with what's called "gangsta walking." KZfaq Gangsta Walkin by G Style (music video) It'll help give some context. But there's lots more that you can read/watch about the actual origins of jookin. You'll find that its origins and evolution have been so organic.
