The Toei Subway is one of the two primary rapid transit networks of the Greater Tokyo Region in Japan, comprising four lines operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Consisting of four lines, the Asakusa, Mita, Shinjuku, and Ōedo lines, it is known for the uniqueness of each line.
The Asakusa Line was the first to open and is notable for operating as a regional S-Bahn trunk line, with services through running on the north side to the Keisei network and services through running on the south side to the Keikyu network, directly connecting Haneda and Narita airports.
The Mita Line is a north-south route that is the only 'normal' line on the system (as far as gauge and technology is concerned). It through operates onto the Tōkyū Meguro Line in the south, continuing onwards to Shin-Yokohama with some trains going further onto the Sōtetsu network.
The Shinjuku Line is Toei's primary east-west route, running into Chiba prefecture on the eastern end and through-running onto the Keio network to the west. It and the connecting Keiō New Line are the only subway lines in the world to use Scotch Gauge.
Finally, the Ōedo Line is a lasso-shaped line that uses smaller linear motor trains. It is the only one of Toei's subway lines that does not through-operate onto other railways, mainly due to its technology.
Toei operates other lines as well, but these will be featured in their own videos. Tokyo Metro is a separate entity that will also be featured separately.
This was my first time using Shotcut instead of iMovie for assembling a video and the first time I attempted blurring out faces, so it is a bit shabby. I hope to improve the technique used to blur out faces so that as little as possible of the screen is obscured. The footage used for Kudanshita will likely be reused for the Tokyo Metro video when it comes out later, as it is one of the notable stations where Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway have transfers without barriers.
